I placed an order for 18 bags of black rubber mulch on Sunday The 24th. Since I missed the deadline by six minutes, I was told that the order would not arrive that Wednesday coming up but the following week on Wednesday. OK fast forward to Thursday of the same week in Lowe’s could get me the mulch the next day so I ordered it from Lowe’s. I figured I could cancel this order. There is nothing on the receipt or the website that says if you cancel an order there’s a restocking fee. So I am confused on why I tried to cancel an order that was six days out from shipping and got charged a 40% restocking fee. this is something the owner decided to do because he was upset that I canceled the order, businesses should not be allowed to take advantage of people. As a customer, I had every right to cancel the order. I can understand if the order has shipped or if it was already at the store, but it had not, and it was not at the store. Lowes got the order to me the next day after I purchased what I was trying to buy. It just seems a little vindictive that this business is trying to take 40% for a cancellation and it’s not posted anywhere. It says on the website and the receipt that you can cancel or return the order and there’s no penalty so why am I being charge 40% for canceling my order. Actually, the order was canceled without them calling me back. I received no email about the order or about the cancellation. The only thing I have is this receipt so without my go ahead on the cancellation because they wouldn’t talk to me he just went on and canceled the order and took 40% and gave me 60% on his own. It makes no sense that I could’ve let the order come to the store and then did a return without a charge versus canceling order before it gets here and being...
Read moreThis store is almost always out of stock of items that their website says they have in-stock. This has happened 3/3 times that we have shopped online for in-store pick up. This is very frustrating! Not to mention the older guy with the white beard is the absolute worst at customer service. He is so rude. My husband wanted to return a $38 humming bird feeder that we bought at the end of last season because it is rusted on the inside of the bowl & a plastic humming bird feeder that was bought yesterday because it leaks. He forgot to take the rusty one back yesterday. We didn't have our receipt for the 1st one and wanted to get a replacement. The man kept saying it was bought 2 years ago. We told him to look up our account. He said they can't do that. But he keeps insisting that it was bought 2 years ago. If he can't look it up, how can he determine that? The 2nd one the man said he couldn't return it without the tag. We had the tag on the counter. Then he rang it up and asked for $14.93!!! My husband said again that it was a return because it leaks. So he finally returned it for us. Then my husband went to get fertilizer on the other end of the store & heard the man telling someone, "yeah that's the guy that tried to return a 2 year old bird feeder". Nothing like talking smack about a customer. This could have been handled with better training. We will not be shopping here anymore & will definitely be letting everyone we know not to shop...
Read moreWatch your register pricing. They overcharged me the other day. I caught it at the time before cc charge but two different workers couldn't revise the price to the listed amount. No apologies just told to wait for "Jon" to show up. Stood there 5 minutes like I had done something wrong. No Jon, I left. Seriously need some retraining. Won't be back anymore. I will deal with Lowes moving forward. - Regarding owner response statement that I have the wrong store...SIR, that is incorrect. I live in Trent Woods, so as I may have misheard the name of the person being summoned by your staff, I assure you this ocurred in your store. Check with your counter staff. I requested my Ace reward coupon be returned and left a unpurchased bag of Palmtone fertilizer, 16x20 furnace filter and a cold...
