I was really looking forward to playing golf at a new course. When we arrived at the clubhouse for our Tee time, The girl behind the counter did not greet us, there were cartoons playing loudly on the TV, and she looked like she was dressed in pajamas. Before we arrived, we called to see what beverages were sold in the clubhouse. We were told pop, Gatorade, water, and beer. When we arrived, the girl told me she could not sell anything in the “Pepsi cooler”. I asked her why, and she said “I just can’t right now.” After a few more probing questions, she said she could if the other guy came back. We waited a few minutes and the other guy came back, at which point she sold us some beer. We asked for ice, and she told us they don’t provide ice because of Covid! We were not thanked after spending $100 on golf and $60 on beverages. She was...
Read moreI stay in a house at the end of the 1st fairway. I enjoy watching the golfers coming down the fairway. During my brief stay, I'm more intrigued by wild animals I have seen: a family of deer frolicking back and forth up the fairway, the deer drinking from the pond between the 1st and 2nd hole, the 2 ducks waddling across the 1st hole or the family of geese just hanging out. As far as my eyes can determine, the golfers are in awe as me. The grounds are very well maintained. I've observed golfers of all ages, from the little littles to the spunky elders. I had no clue this little gem existed until I saw it for myself. If you're a golfer and looking for a new course, I encourage you to give Brightwood a try and if you see me on my deck at the 1st hole, give a wave...
Read moreGrew up playing this course. Always been friendly people and friendly atmosphere. Fairways can be a little narrow, no sand whatsoever. Water and woods on several holes. Nice little close in Suburban 9 Hole course. Did not play here for 3 years, went back this year they have spent some money upgrading parts of the course. Sad the ponds are all covered in algae hit a ball in there good luck. No sky carp also known as Canadian geese. The new Clubhouse must be 10 years old now at least still looks to be in good shape plenty of space to stretch out. Nice porch so you can watch the comings and goings on the first hole on a nice day hard to beat. Leaf blowers herb it too much noisy noisy noisy. Price was about...
