I used to really enjoy going here with my son however the last few times I went without my son it was a totally different experience. Had purchased lost origin only to open it and discover 7 energy cards in it and was simply told oh well better luck next time. Then I tried to trade in some cards and was given an offer of less than 40% the market value when previously itās been typically 60-65. Just getting bad vibes the last few times Iāve been in and it doesnāt feel as welcoming as it used to. Sad to say but Iām exploring other local shops for now. (Update: clearly the owner always feels the need to makeup his own stories in an attempt to make his store seem perfect as you can see by any review that happens to be negative. I have no clue who the person is that heās speaking of. When I opened the pack he was out of town at a convention and his other employee was present at the time but according to them it still didnāt happen per their update response. Also in regards to selling or attempting to sell cards I always do so when Iām by myself. As stated previously I used to like this store but something has clearly changed and the instant attack without having any clue as to who actually wrote the review further cements my decision to never due business there again. Hopefully for others you donāt have to experience what I have but just take note of the possibilities.)(update: the owner is so threatened by a little criticism that he felt the need to post my review on Facebook and resort to name calling. Take it however you like but to me thatās just poor business practice and poor communication from an owner to a former customer who spent way more than they ever should have. Oh well...
Read moreI recently got back into Pokémon and I needed a TCG shop close to me to call "home" (has great sports and Pokémon selection) I called exactly 26 different locations before I landed on Pop Culture Archives - and spoke with Will ( the helpful/knowledgeable employee). I was on the hunt for a very specific set at the time of my "re-entry" into Pokémon (Evolutions X,Y) and every place I had called prior that day had either literally laughed at me or tried to refer me out of state until I spoke with Will. He gave me the time of day and had me come into the shop where I was able to get what I was looking for! Now I come in at least once every two weeks where John, (the owner) will chat you up about all information you could want to know about cards. He's a good guy and has all his stuff at market value and will help you with your purchases and throw in some free-bee's every once and awhile after you build rapport. 10/10 on all ends of this place it helped me get back into the hobby. The one thing I will say is, it would be nice if they started to do events. That's the only things that's missing,...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePop Culture Archives is an awesome hidden gem. Itās a chill, laid back shop that welcomes all collectors from expert to newbie. I asked Willy (Billy) probably 50 questions about almost every PokĆ©mon card product in that place and he knew it all. My FIRST time there, I ended up buying a mix of a few cool PokĆ©mon card boxes and⦠Lugia V! Of course I had to go back to brag and the guys were almost as excited as I was. š Two weeks later, on a whim I stopped by again. I decided to grab an ETB and one single booster pack of Shining Legends because I had never seen one before and that little blue Mew was calling me⦠A Mewtwo GX!? I almost cried. (At this rate, my next visit Iām pulling a Moonbreon.) They have a variety of the new stuff, cool old stuff you havenāt seen in a long time, and something in every...
