
I got a gel manicure on a Friday and within 10 days 6 nails had chips on them. Iām retired so I donāt do anything rough with my hands and Iāve never had gel nail polish chip like that before. My mother passed away on day 12 so on day 14 I went back to the salon to see if they could fix them. The male owner was super nice and asked if I could come back in an hour to have them redone. I wouldnāt even be writing this review if that was all. Jennifer had originally done my nails and at that time she wasnāt very friendly and barely spoke to me only talking to another employee to her right. Unfortunately she was the one redoing my chipped nails and she acted mad that I had come back in. The only thing she said to me and not very nicely was that gel nail polish only last 2-3 weeks. I told her they started chipping at 10 days. From then on she didnāt speak to me only talking to that same employee to her right. She did say sorry as I stood to leave. I just wanted to get out of there I was as so upset. Jennifer, my Mom passed away 2 days prior to this. A little human kindness costs nothing. The pedicure I received was good but average, the manicures were a different story. The first was okay but less than a week in it was a mess, the second was just bad. When I went in to speak to the manager LIndsay, her response was to talk in circles and tell me to go to my previous nail place - which I did. I only changed (or tried to) because I moved to New Castle and had to drive over an hour to my old place. I am not a difficult client - I have been going to my original place OVER 8 years and I love them. I guess my expectations were just too high for Diva. If you have a HIGH SCHOOL intern working, you should absolutely not be charging full price, and someone should be checking their work!! My pedicure was... fine. Nothing special. But charging am extra $15 just for gel polish seems a bit excessive. My acrylic nails however, look terrible! They are lumpy and uneven. None of them are the same shape, and there's so much space at the cuticle that they look grown out after only a few days. I can't believe I wasted over $100 for this.
