I had my first experience at Selah Salon after a specific stylist was referred to me by a close friend. After a very thorough consultation I made the decision to take a leap of faith and book an appointment! My goals were to 1) keep my hair healthy and long 2) color match my natural hair 3) embrace my gray hair without coloring over it or hiding it. My first session with my stylist was such a vibe, but I will admit that I was very nervous. I hadn’t had my hair colored since 2023 and I had no idea what to expect with having her leave my grey untouched. After 6.5 hours (most of it sitting at the shampoo bowl for treatments, toning, and color correcting) we were able to achieve most of my goals with the exception of a few minor ones due to short supply of product at the time of service which was a bummer, but that’s okay! I feel like she and I went on this wild hair adventure together and she did her best to reassure me that everything was going to turn out great. She is even going to make it a priority to get me in again to fix some tiny problem areas (no fault of hers) and tone me again to help achieve an even more desirable result. One thing that stood out to me was the Italian product line they use that is both safe and affective on the hair and scalp in ways that American products tend to fall short. I did have to pay the prettiest penny in my piggy bank for my service, but I was informed of this way beforehand at my consultation which is respectful and helps ease the anxiety of going to the cashier at the end of the service. All in all I did enjoy my service. I received 20% products that I purchased that day (I think) and they offer fun bonuses for your birthday month!! I may update this review after a follow up appointment and after I get a chance to style my hair myself see how the cut and style looks...
Read moreI came in on Wednesday with medium length blonde hair. My ends were dead, so I was getting a trim. I was tired of my blonde hair, so I decided to dye it purple. If nothing else, at least I could say that I’d dyed my entire head of hair. My stylist was Samuel, who I rate 5 out of 5 stars for being so patient with my hair and trying to give me the best experience possible. On Wednesday, I was only able to get a trim, since Selah was nearly out of the Violet and Wild Orchid colors, which were the ones I wanted. We ended up trimming a few more inches than I was prepared for, which surprised me. However it’s SO much easier to wash, style, and care for, and I’m totally in love with the length. It feels so fresh and the ends are soft and thick. Anyway, like I said, I couldn’t get my dye on Wednesday, so I was told to come back on Friday. So that Friday, I showed up to get my hair dyed purple. I was nervous, of course, because dying your hair purple is a big choice. But Samuel was incredibly excited and kept reassuring me that it was gonna look amazing😂. So I pushed my doubts down and sat in that chair for about 4 hours. I will say, it was a process, but it was worth it. It was definitely worth it. I’m SO happy with the way it turned out. Last time I got my hair dyed at a different salon, I dyed the bottom of my hair purple. It was pretty, but it didn’t blend super well, and there was a defined line where my hair switched from blonde to purple. My current ombré from violet to wild orchid is gorgeous and subtle. I’m so so happy with the outcome. After Samuel dyed it, he curled it and it looked AMAZING. I can’t wait to go to my co-op and turn heads 😉. Rated 5 out of 5 stars!

Read moreMy best friend turned me onto Selah after going herself for a long while. I had already heard so many great things about it, and about Sam, and I was like "alright already let's do it!" I reached out to Sam to schedule an appointment through Instagram, and we chatted back and forth about current hair, color ideas, expectations etc. What impressed me the most was that he was corresponding while on vacation! He definitely didn't have to, and I felt horrible after realizing! But goes to show before us ever meeting, he was invested and cared. The spa itself has such a welcoming vibe and atmosphere as soon as you walk in. From the asthetics, scents, character of the building. You can tell lots of blood, sweat, tears and prayers went into this place. I felt so relaxed and at ease the entire time I was there. Like I was on vacation. I appreciated the fact that I wasn't triple booked and shuffled around while I got my hair done. I was taken care of, listened to, and heard. They offer up drinks, a chance to walk around, shop, etc. Sam was so insightful and knowledgeable, open minded. After my hair was done, he made me feel like a queen by taking me outside for hair pics and posting a cute reel on his business page. He has a client for life now if he wants it! Now to dote on the owner, she was so welcoming, knew it was my first time, offered a thoughtful first time gift, and completely humble! And all the other stylists were so sweet, complimenting each other's work and everything! You can tell they all, love working together. It's really more than you can ask for in a salon and spa. You will not be disappointed! And if you are, I'm sorry for your absolute loss in a...
