Save A Lot — Local services in New Castle

To be clear, this review is for the Butler Ave. location. Good store that has (mostly) pretty good prices on a pretty wide variety of products. The store is a little outdated, especially compared to the one on Wilmington Rd., and you also have to bag your own groceries, unlike the Wilmington Rd. location, but I don't mind. It seems they don't care as much for the Butler Ave. location or it's patrons, and I'm pretty sure I know why, which ,if I'm correct, is pretty sad. But this store has very friendly employees and they do have good prices on most things so I feel it deserves a lot of credit. I shop...

Being a retail store manager, I appreciate a well ran store. I shop at the New Castle, PA store about once a week and I live in Boardman, Ohio. Your store is always very well stocked and organized and I always find what I need! I never wait very long at the checkout and the cashiers are always so pleasant. I also want to point out the greeter/shopping cart guy is extremely friendly and helpful. I actually asked him for his name tonight to include in my review. His name was James. My stepfather entered the store and was just grabbing a couple small things. This security guard was super rude and aggressively comes up to him to take his stuff to the front of the store to check out. My stepfather didn't know what was going on. Apparently the store was closing and he didn't realize it. I get it. The store is closing. But make an announcement or say oh hey man we are closing up, can you come up to the front and check out please?
