RadioShack — Local services in New Holland

I'm not an electronics person however, Radio Shack, New Holland, PA has always been my go-to for advice, small needs, etc. From today forward, they will be my #1 place to go. I was having issues with my Garmin GPS. I searched online for answers that wouldn't cost me without resolution I then decided to call Radio Shack. The person I spoke to tried his best to help me resolve my issues even after I said that I probably needed a new GPS. He continued to try and help me "fix" my existing device--NEVER mentioning that I should just buy a new one. Because this device is crucial to my business, I did everything the young man suggested and finally resolved that I needed to replace it. I found a "deal" online however, without the personal service that i experienced at Radio Shack New Holland, it wasn't really a deal. I bought a new Garmin from Radio Shack today. And, I am thrilled due to the one-on-one human experience and "can-do" attitude from the Radio Shack New Holland employee. Thanks Steve Loewen for all you do. This IS more (much more) than your average Radio Shack ... found this, almost by accident, searching online, thinking that Radio Shack was out of business, and needing a place to buy components for my middle school science class. Finding a privately owned RS, for me, was pretty exciting and well worth the short drive. The two employees, and the owner, greeted me instantly, helped me find the materials I needed, and provided interesting conversation the whole time. I went here strictly for nostalgia and was not disappointed. I had never been to a standalone location, it is literally a shack! The inside took me right back to all those trips to the mall when I was a kid. Just looking around at everything, even though i dont know what half of it is, it's interesting. I bought some random stuff that you never seem to have enough of like cables and batteries. There are some hidden gems if you look hard enough. I'm not local or else I'd go back...
