You know how there are the common food combinations you see and can get everywhere? Well, I was blown away today by not one but two unique food combinations that were amazing!!! I have never heard of them before. The first was their Creamy Dill Pickle Soup. The taste was brand new! It had some zing to it. 😋 Our waitress said it's often their soup of the day and a Big hit. The second unique thing was their cranberry honey mustard dipping sauce. I had previously thought I didn't like cranberry flavor, but this stuff was delicious! It came with our pretzel nuggets appetizer.

The decor was very fun! Our table was covered in old local newspapers which we could still read. Made for some great conversation!

The staff was friendly! Our waitress did an amazing job. Very friendly and checked up on us the perfect amount, offering refills before our drinks were completely gone. Also, our waitress overheard me tell another patron (that I was chatting with while we waited for her to finish what she was doing and come seat us) that it was my first time here. She went above and beyond the normal to explain some things about the place& menu that were really convenient to know. Her presentation on the soups of the day, etc. was superbly done!

I cannot wait to return and try something else on...

All I can say is WoW! We headed out to Lancaster with the intention of going to Shady Maple smorgasbord for lunch or dinner. It was my husband's birthday so he would get a free meal. We ran some errands and decided the buffet looked crowded and we weren't that hungry. I checked online for an alternative. We found Lickity Split and it was only 7 mins away! We knew immediately from the line waiting to get in that this was going to be really good. We didn't have to wait very long for a seat and perused the menu in the meantime. We were just overwhelmed by the friendly staff! The menu looked delicious and burgers were the special of the day. I had the dill pickle soup and half sandwich and my husband had a burger. The soup was out of this world! So yummy! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger! As we were talking with our server, we mentioned my husband's birthday and they even sang to him and gave him a small ice cream sundae for free! I can't wait to go back!
