Great Location and Staff, But Very Limited Merchandise Compared to Goodwill, Unique and Savers.

I love thrift stores: I hit them up 2 to 4 times per week searching for great deals on gently worn clothing. I have great luck at Unique, Savers, Goodwill, Vincent's and Salvation Army. Arc's Value Village just does not measure up. It is well laid out, fairly clean, and has ample parking and a very nice and helpful staff.

Their merchandise is incredibly picked over. I've been there 4 or 5 times in the past 6 months, and left empty handed every single trip.

I love to thrift and will flip through every apparel rack in the store (things can get put back wrong and I want to be sure.) As a general rule of thumb, I've found that 1 in 10 items will be a name brand (Nike, J Crew, Banana, Macy's, True Religion) at any given thrift store. However, at Arc's Value Village, only 1 in 50 items is name brand and those items stained or torn and priced 3x higher than other stores.

Shoes there are priced at $10-$25 (vs $8 elsewhere). Last night, the glass display case of designer shoes had really gross looking items. Worn out soles, stains, and excessively dirty interiors that that looked like fungus and mold. And they were priced up to $50! (The display case was left unlocked and wide open, btw, so maybe store is aware that those shoes are nasty and not in danger of theft.)

If you are a casual thrift store shopper -- i.e. you'll pop in once or twice a year -- you might love it and feel happy that you're scoring a sweater you like for $15.

If you are a more avid thrift store shopper, you will be disappointed at how much pricier they are than other thrift stores and how lacking they are in name brands.

I left the store empty handed last night. I realize inventory can change and it may get be better stocked or more picked over on certain days, but I've been there now a half dozen times and will not...

I’m a very frequent value village shopper I go at least once per day sometimes 3 times per day and I also drive here from Richfield. I shop at the new hope store at least twice weekly despite the 20 minute drive. I drove here today specifically for the purple priced cameras. I came in a few days prior and placed them all in one bin so I could find thembecause they were .99 cents during the tag sale.when I got to the register the associate told me he couldn’t sell them at the 99 cent price because they had appeared to be switched off and replaced by other items so he peeled of the tags and told me he couldn’t sell them to me. He then said they would have to tag check them and said the price is yellow and 1.99 each. I decided to pass on them and wait for them to go on sale again. I know a dollar more might sound like not that big of a deal but my review is about the principle.

I shop here all the time and waited for almost a month to buy this item on the sale day. They finally make it to the sale day and he rips off the tags and raises the price. One of the tags came off easily but the second tag he struggled to take off which clearly means it wasn’t tampered with but still said he couldn’t sell it to me.

5 stars for the items they sell 2 stars for the service I received I ended up buying 10 other items but didn’t get the cameras I specifically...

HORRIBLE customer experience today. I went into Arc’s Value to find clothes for my great-grandmother’s funeral. My experience was great until it came time for checkout. According to the receipt, Cindy was our cashier on 5/13/2024 at 4:13pm. Cindy didn’t greet me and my party, she didn’t even motion us to move forward in the line to checkout with her. Cindy then proceeded to ask us to “hold the tag out” for each item when I had already laid the items out on the counter for her. I was confused because I swear I wasn’t the one clocked into a shift, right? Cindy then proceeded to tell me to remove the hangers from my own clothing and told me, “The hangers go in that bucket by the window.” Again, I don’t recall clicking into a shift at Arc’s Value Village today. I’ve never been instructed to do these tasks with other cashiers at this location before. I would be TOTALLY understanding had Cindy provided great customer service from the get-go, but she didn’t. After leaving the checkout, Cindy didn’t even greet us on our way out. This was a joke of a customer service experience. I would’ve much preferred a self checkout lane since Cindy made us do 50% of her job as a cashier.

OH, and I didn’t receive the 50% discount for red tags as advertised in store. Thanks Cindy for doing your job with the...
