TEC was one my favorite locally owned boutique until now. I shop here quite frequently to get statement and quality clothing. The service is usually incredible. Unfortunately, this time around incredible was an overstatement. I had to attend an event and I browsed their website prior to my arrival for pro activity. When I arrived the dress I screenshot online was on sale for $54.04 and in stock. I tried on the dress in the dressing room and I loved it, so I decided to purchase it. A sales associate also helped me find shoes to match the dress. While checking out, I gave the dress to another sales associate because I found another pair of shoes near the register, I thought would pair perfectly with the dress. Another sales associate went to the back to look for the shoe in my size and there was an issue with the ring up of the dress. The sales associate stated that she knew it was on sale, But she wasnât sure what price. I informed her of the website price. The other associate came back with the shoes and I tried them on, liked them as well and decided to purchase the shoes also. After both items were rang up, they told me what the total price was and I was a bit confused because the dress was on sale, but they were charging me full price for it. While trying to understand the mix up, the manager came over and stated that it was on sale but they took it off sale because they wanted it for next year. They literally changed the price while I was in the store when they couldnât decide what the sales price was. My issue wasnât at all the price, but the principal. I am a retail manager and I know exactly how retail works. That is not how that should have been handled. I felt extremely devalued and discriminated against. I have never experienced anything like it, especially when I consider myself as a âregular TECâ shopper. I would have spent triple the price at another locally owned boutique had known that my experience would amount to this. I NEVER write reviews, EVER! But I guess, TEC has shown its true self and Iâm saddened to say that I wonât be returning to one of my favorite boutiques...
Read moreThis is hands down the most beautiful shop on Magazine Street. Youâd think everything would be expensive, but it is all SO AFFORDABLE! As a fellow boutique owner I love to shop small, locally owned businesses, especially woman owned. Cannot recommend this place enough. I have purchased some of my all time favorite jewelry and shoes here. Plus her hand poured candles she personally makes are better than any other candles I own. They actually make my whole house smell amazing. Try the...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. Walked in the store and was not greeted at all. Followed around and overheard one of the employees saying something racist about me. I would never spend any money here. Even if it was the end of the world and there were no other clothing stores. Horrible customer service and cheap clothing. A bunch of imbeciles work here. There are other better boutiques in Nola where you can...
