Sleighters Inc. — Local services in New Oxford

One of the benefits of being located in Hanover PA is having a place like Sleighters in the area. I purchased bedroom furniture and a mattress from them 9 years ago. The mattress is still in excellent condition so when I needed a new mattress for my guest bedroom, I contacted Jerry via phone. He called me back the same day. I explained I needed a mattress and also was considering an adjustable bed frame for the guest room and the owner suite. Jerry set up a convenient time to meet at the store to try out options.

When I arrived at store, Jerry had multiple options all set up for me to see and try out making it a very pleasant shopping experience. Jerry's knowledge of the products he offers at Sleighters was impressive and extremely helpful with making my buying decisions. I placed my order at that meeting.

Jerry himself with a helper (Bob) delivered my merchandise. They worked in harmony carefully and expertly unpacking and setting everything up. They also removed the old mattress. I had asked them to install the adjustable frame and new mattress in guest room on my existing SLED BED. They did exactly as I asked but the bed wound up being too high for my toddler granddaughter to use so Jerry offered me a couple options. I selected modification of the sled bed to lower everything even though the adjustable bed from Sleighters is a very nice stand alone bed option. I did so because I have all the matching furniture pieces. The modification was not simple as it involved dis-assembly of the bed frame and careful removal of pieces to enable smooth operation while maintaining the appearance of bed. Once completed, I had the updated bedroom I was seeking.

In summary, Jerry and his team display a true commitment to providing customers quality products and the highest level of customer service, the best I have ever experienced. To make it even nicer, they are kind people who really enjoy doing so. This was a no stress absolute successful project because of Sleighters. I highly recommend...

I purchased a lift chair from Slaughter's about 6 months ago. Ordered on a Sat it was delivered out of town (no delivery charge) set up tested and old chair removed that same week. I had a small problem with the chair Yesterday the lift had stopped working. By being disabled I could not get under the chair to see what the problem was. I called and left a message my phone call was returned later yesterday evening an Mr. Slaughter (3rd generation owner) was here and fixed the problem today. What a proud 75 year tradition of excellent customer service. Would highly recommend to anyone needing lift chairs, mobility scooters or bedding. 5 Stars is not enough to rater them. There pricing is better than anyone else...

Friends recommended Sleighters for their large selection of Golden lift chairs. We purchased one for my husband and one for myself. Both chairs have lived up to our expectations. The staff, both sales and delivery personnel were so very knowledgeable and patient. My husband’s chair malfunctioned on a Saturday morning. He called for service and a professional serviceman arrived a few hours later and repaired his chair on site. Upon inquiry we learned the “repairman” was indeed the owner of the furniture store.
