Red Bird Music Store — Local services in New Richmond

My experience at this store was terrible. The place looked so crowded and junky as if the owner lived in there. Nothing was organized and it took me almost an hour to find one album I was looking for which wasn't even with the rest of the artists albums. Majority of the albums on the floor were unmarked and I took a few up to the register. The man picked through my albums and refused to let me buy the unmarked ones and asked me why I even was interested in them if they were not marked. I said that they were on the floor along with the other albums but again, he said he wouldn't sell these to me as they were unmarked. He took those aside and said he would have to research them and refused to sell them to me. I will not return to this unorganized, rude store who doesn't take care of their albums, which were stacked in totes and thrown all over, making everything confusing for the customers. Don't go there unless you planned to waste time and money for overpriced and poorly taken...

Stopped in out of the blue, and fell in love almost immediately. The owner is a welcoming, kind, knowledgeable person and an accomplished musician. He showed me around, and made me feel very comfortable. The place is filled with awesome gear, some vintage, and some handmade. The have a little bit of everything, including house plants. He offers repairs, and tune ups, and is extremely meticulous. I really enjoyed hanging out, listening to some vinyl and plucking around on array of instruments; really great vibes. I must have been there for 3 hours! Since my first discovery, I have visited numerous times, and eventually purchased a Recording King acoustic from him. Bob is good people and went out of his way And opened on a closed day. On top of that he hooked me up on strings for a sweet price. Highly highly recommend so music players and fans alike give his store a visit, very cool. We need to keep businesses like his open at all costs. I can’t be the only person sick and tired of the dystopian like experience wal mart has brought to new Richmond.
