Champs Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in New Richmond

I don't understand how this place has such good reviews. My wife and I stopped in based on the reviews and we agreed it was the worst meal we've had this year. Service was slow and obviously disorganized, we had three different servers wait on us. We didn't mind the slowness because it was a nice day and we were on their admittedly nice patio. When our food came, my burger was a completely different type of burger than what was ordered, so I had to wait longer for the refire of the proper burger. My wife's sandwich was cold and super soggy. It didn't have any flavor at all. When my correct burger came, it was also flavorless. They even managed to mess up fries, no flavor to them at all. It was also obvious they just redipped my fries in the fryer to freshen them up instead of getting a new order. I could tell due to the greasiness and there was a sauce that was on the fries from the previous wrong burger that was now fried into them. So they did have flavor technically, but it was a cooked in sauce that I never would have chosen. They somehow managed to do the impossible; totally botch a simple burger and fries. It's called seasoning and it desperately wants to be your friend. I'd advise everyone...

Good ish... The food is a bit expensive. But portion size is good. And it is yummy. Their "sports bar" element is lacking... They do have a good amount of tvs but they do not play game audio... And don't respond very quickly to requests... Also like everywhere staffing seems to be short.

Reply to the owner: Your prices had a minor factor in the score I have (maybe half star) .. Cause everything is more expensive as you said... And I'll happily pay a premium for your level of quality and portions you have. However, the big factor was delivering on "sports bar" title. I recommend trying to be more responsive to request for games a customer may want to see. As well as having game audio, rather than music on for any major game like playoffs or key local teams. I'll definitely be back in your location over the next few weeks, I'll update this review if I see...

To just put this first…don’t eat here. Been there three times with family and we’re done trying to like it as it’s disappointing each time.

Food was horrible…ordered a Caesar salad. Chicken was good but lettuce tasted like it came out of a chemical bath, was wet and the dressing - what the heck was that even besides disgusting slime. Also it shouldn’t come piled on a plate expecting me to mix the dressing on it (they misunderstood when I asked for extra Caesar on the side and placed it all on the side). That’ll create a massive mess for me and for staff to clean. Put it in a bowl if portions are gonna be that size.

The staff I must say was nice and atmosphere is cramped.

I left without finishing more than two bites…I would have expected it to be at least half comped but nope.
