I see that most reviews speak highly of this place, but my experience tonight was disappointing. Based on other generally positive reviews, I assume the quality depends on the masseuse, so Iâll share my specific experience.
I had visited a couple of times under previous ownership and had great experiences. This time, I called to make an appointment 30 minutes in advance and spoke with a man who seemed to work remotely (more on that later). When I arrived, a masseuse greeted me but spoke no English, so I had to communicate through her Google Translate to confirm my 6 PM appointmentânot a big deal.
Once I got on the table, I waited 5â6 minutes for the masseuse to start, which was longer than usual, but nothing major. Unfortunately, the massage itself was subpar. Her technique felt rushed and overly aggressive, with large, sweeping motions that covered big areas quicklyâalmost like she was just traveling over my body rather than working on specific muscles. There were no moments of slow, deep pressure, no effort to find and work out knots, and she didnât stay in one spot for more than a second.
On top of that, she applied rough pressure to sensitive areas, including that funny bone-like spot on the inner ankles, the inside of my upper arm, and even the front of my neck, which felt borderline unsafe. To top it off, she ended the session at 85 minutes instead of the full 90.
During the massage, another client arrived saying they had booked an appointment, but the masseuse who greeted them also didnât speak English. They had to call the same remote man I spoke with, who apparently told them no masseuses were available. The back-and-forth confusion made it clear they should have someone who can speak at least some English at the front desk.
Overall, it was an unrelaxing experience. Despite this, I might give the place another shot and hope for a better masseuse next time cause it is...
Read moreThere is no option for a half star so I cannot give 2.5 stars. My experience was not so good. Looking at this place with 5 stars made me think I was going to get what I was looking for, sadly not. As I walked in it smelled like a animals , that wasn't so bad being that there was a animal shop downstairs... as we (wife and I) walked in we was greeted respectfully but without asking what we wanted we was directed to a room with no instructions. My wife and I looked at each other and got closer to each other in un currently of what to do, about 2 minutes later two ladies come in and asked to take off our clothes đ I asked that we get a full body massage for one hour, no problem they said. Once the hour was done I realized that my left hand, my biceps, calves and front of my legs was NOT MASSAGED but instead my back was rubbed as if the Masseuse was washing clothes on a wash bord while her nails kept chafing my neck/chin. Not contouring the Anatomy with a smooth flow of a massage but instead just...
Read moreItâs been so hard finding a good deep tissue and acupressure massage place outside of Chinatown and Flushing. Iâm so glad this place opened up because itâs an absolute gem!
The staff here know their pressure points and the massages can get quite painful but itâs worth it. Most of the massage will be over a sheet, where they will put their entire body weight or elbow into some knots to loosen them up, and then follow it up with an oil massage to guasha the knots out with their arms. I always feel like I am floating when I walk away from this location.
Every staff is knowledgeable about the body and how to release tension. However, if a hard massage isnât for you, just signal them with an audible âowâ and they will adjust, as most of the staff only speak Mandarin. If you have specific areas you want to work on, give them a call first as the receptionist is the only one who speaks a bit more English and he can tell the staff before hand what areas...
