I will say this cake place is super well known , however my experience was not as superb as I thought it would be. I'm the type of person who is very methodical. So I ordered my cake early February too insure it would be perfect by early March. The first time I talked about the design , there was a misconception which is normal. I didn't put much energy into it and I just decided to go with a new design. I probably spoke with them twice to insure the second time around was going to be smooth. I also wanted live flowers on the cake , that was suppose to be lavender. The day of pick up is when I choose I wouldn't be coming back . Also I would be writing a review. I got there and my cake came from the back . When I seen the cake for the first time the first thing I noticed was all of the flowers were not the same color it was pink and lavender. I asked about it and of course there was an excuse as to why it is. Now I spent extra $45 to make sure it was all the same color and if that couldn't be done then should of been called. Just common curiosity. She bring the cake a total of 3 times in the back and front to finally have all the flowers to be the same color. Not only was the flowers was an issue my color of the cake was WRONG! When I asked the nice young lady behind the register if that's white. She even hesitated so much that she went back to my order to read aloud to say white as the first thing on the order. It was clearly not white it was an off white closer to a very light tan. However there were excuses as to why that was and it was blamed on the glitter that turned it that color. Now if that was the case dont you think once I placed the order it should of been stated . So since this was not the case it just simply was the WRONG COLOR. I've never heard of a place that wants top dollar for cakes with so many excuses on why it couldn't be executed the way I wanted. On top of that it was ordered early for this reasoning. Never again.. I was trying to support smaller business but if this is the work your proud of , I'm afraid I'll take my...
Read moreWorst experience with this bakery and will never order from them again. I paid over $500 for a custom cake straight off of their photo gallery and the cake we received looked nothing like the one I ordered. I paid extra to have the cake delivered to the restaurant for an important birthday dinner and the bakery rep said they would take care of everything. When I complained of the cake we received, they sent me a picture of how the cake looked when it LEFT the bakery but were trying to figure out what went wrong. I had a call with a woman named Miriam who had the worst customer service manners I've ever experienced while telling me they pride themselves on customer service. The fact is, the cake we got wasn't what I ordered and she tried to blame the restaurant and tell me the cake ARRIVED at the restaurant perfectly. They never sent me a picture of how the cake looked at the time of delivery so it could have been damaged during the delivery process but she didn't even acknowledge that as a possibility. Instead of acknowledging the fact that the bakery could have been responsible for the mishap - she continued to tell me that that it's not their fault. She then offered to give me a gift card. The #1 rule in customer service I thought was - the customer is always right. Not sure where she learned her customer service skills from but that definitely hasn't registered with her. After wasting 20 minutes of listening to her repeatedly say everything that essentially boiled down to "it's not our fault" - I gave up since it was clear dealing with them was a waste of time. I thought about contesting the credit card charge for the delivery but again - debate whether I want to continue to waste time on this. Dealing with this place isn't worth the hassle...
Read moreI visited bcake to purchase some cupcakes on 3/15 upon entering the store I was greeting by someone behind the register who asked how can I help you today I replied saying I am looking to purchase some cupcakes. After being helped and picking out the cupcakes it was time to pay I asked if they did Apple Pay and was told yes so when it came time to pay they were having issues with the machine that I was suppose to put my phone next to, they kept unplugging the device and plugging it back in to get it to work then finally it started to work so I made my purchase and left. Fast forward to the night of 3/16 I get an email from my credit card company saying I have reached my limit! That’s impossible because it is a new card and my first purchase was at bcake. So I logged into my app to find multiple charges at supermarkets and gas stations in QUEENS NY I live in Brooklyn and the times the purchases were made I was having dinner at a restaurant for my girlfriends birthday. I called up the credit card company to report it as fraud. I then called bcake the next day to inform them about what happened I was asked for the last 4 digits of my card number and the amount of my purchase then I was put on hold for about 10mins only to be told that they were unable to find any purchases made with that card number or find a purchase for that amount I gave. I really feel they were lying and didn’t want to acknowledge that they were hacked or someone there is doing some funny stuff. I was basically rushed off the phone and they didn’t care about what happen. My advice when purchasing here use CASH !! The young lady that helped me the day I made the purchase was very nice cupcakes were ok. Other than that plz update your POS system or get better...
