Jack’s Barbershop — Local services in New York

Been a long time Jack’s Barber Shop customer and highly recommend for their great service. But never in my life have I experienced people complimenting me in the street until after I got my hair done by Ray in the Washington Avenue location. Ray is not just a barber, he’s an artist. The man knows exactly what he’s doing, know how to cater your cut to your face and literally makes you feel like a walking piece of art. All of the barbers I have visted at Jack’s are great, but hands down, Ray is my guy for life. You want to feel good after you leave the chair and Ray does just that. It took a few months of living in Crown Heights and trying out different barbers before I found Ray at Jack’s Barbershop. Now, I’m settled in, and he’s the guy I always request.

Ray seems to find incredible pride and joy in his work. He is so focused on the details of the cut, and he executes them so confidently that I come away from the experience inspired. Kind of unusual for a men’s haircut — it’s much more like what you’d expect from watching a great musician.

This is a little late as I got my haircut last Friday, but I wanted to still give Alex the credit he deserves. I’m a regular at Jack’s. I’ve been going there for my haircuts for a couple years now and I have a different barber that usually gives me my cuts but he wasn’t available. I was assigned Alex randomly… and I couldn’t be happier with the cut he gave me! I told him what I wanted and I hate to say it but I think it’s the best haircut I’ve had since I started going, and I’ve always loved any haircut I’ve had from any of their barbers.
