My son is in 3rd grade and recently received an updated diagnosis of Autism (level 1), etc. so like many parents, I am navigating the mental health space and trying to find him top quality ABA therapy.
Enrolled here and they were extremely aggressive in getting my information. My insurance is great so I was approved but then they went silent. I live nearby and was going to stop into the office to find it doesn't exist. They're using the address of a ran down looking book store that seems to share it's address with a lot of other non-existent fly-by-night "businesses" ..
What I'm very sadly running into are centers that either have tons of negative reviews (overbilled parents by thousands, took a year to get their child services, sent ABA techs with absolutely no autism/ABA background, etc.) OR I'm finding places that SEEM to have great 5 star reviews like this one, but upon researching further you discover the reviews are not legitimate.
If you are searching for a good ABA center, make sure to click on ALL of the reviews. You'll see that with this center (as of March 2023-- the time I'm leaving this review) they have TONS of brand new 3-4 week old reviews. ALL of these reviews come from accounts that "surprise surprise" ONLY have reviewed them/their other locations with 5 stars AND by people who don't exist. They use realistic names and particular names but you can't find these people online the way you can find ME (for instance) online.
Additionally, a lot of these places have pushed their employees to "fluff" up the look of their Google reviews by leaving 5 star reviews so that they'll rank in searches, so it's important when researching a place for your child to click through the names of people leaving comments, see if they actually leave other LEGITIMATE reviews that are aged (not all recent) and that they're mostly in nearby locations (not all over the place or they're likely fake accounts that are created to give businesses 5 star reviews)..and also make sure to check YELP. It seems unethical business owners have a harder time having genuine reviews removed from there.
I'm aware of many of the tactics poor businesses use online as I'm in the SEO/business marketing space and have helped rank businesses accordingly in my line of work.
It is truly sad that this is what is rampant in the mental health space so please make sure you rate and review EVERY place you engage with to help other parents and to hold these truly dishonest companies accountable.
When I find an ethical and high quality ABA center, I will attempt to update my reviews to share that.
Edit update May 2023: As soon as I left this review, another "positive" review from another "top" profile was left but if you look at their review it states it was left 2 months ago (within a week or two of my review) but the follow up from the company (that is on there as of today but will probably be deleted) is from 2 years ago. Seems this ABA center and so many other unscrupulous businesses know how to toy with the feedback system so be careful. Many reviews you see are not from...
