Clean Rite Center — Local services in New York

BEWARE of using any pickup/drop-off or delivery service from this business — you risk getting your clothes LOST or MISHANDLED!!!

I had been using their pickup/delivery service for about a year and never had any major issues until recently. Whoever handled my order between the evening of Friday 10/24/2025–10/25/2025 at the 8905 Flatlands Ave location mixed up my clothes with someone else’s. My clothes are STILL missing as of today. I even returned the wrong items in good faith, but my missing clothes were never found or returned.

Please also keep in mind that this laundromat is not within walking distance from my residence, so while I was dealing with this issue, I had to spend MY OWN MONEY on Ubers just to try to resolve an issue that was caused on their end.

After a few follow-ups, the customer service representative offered me $75 instead of a full refund that I requested — even though the value of my clothes was worth FAR more than that, (in addition to the $110 service I paid for) I had to chase them for updates on a mistake that THEY made.

I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in Clean Rite after being a loyal customer. Over the course of the year, I gave this company $1,162.52 in business. I will not be using this service again and will be taking my business elsewhere. If you do decide to use them, wash your clothes...

I usually use WashClub ($1.60/lb), but I got a promo text from Clean Rite saying “Your next 2 orders are completely FREE.” I scheduled a pickup only to be told after they had my clothes that the total was $132 ($2.19/lb). There were no terms or conditions mentioned in the promo text or link I clicked, and by then I was stuck. I emailed them about the misleading promo and got a voicemail the next evening saying they wanted to talk. I called back six times, got no answer, and waited the entire night for my delivery, which was scheduled to arrive by 7pm. It was delivered 11am the next morning with no updates or communication regarding the delay. The clothes were clean, hence the 2 stars, but this was the most unprofessional, frustrating laundry service I’ve used. The lack of transparency and communication makes it not worth it. I love how conveniently places clean rite is but I can’t stand how inconvenient some of its practices are. For one, the machine they use to top up the store card is very tricky- one wrong move and it eats all your money and you have no refund to get. It’s best to come using cash or let an associate help you. Tonight I was annoyed because I had a $100 bill and wanted to put all that on my card and it wouldn’t take the funds. I had to walk around Canarsie asking for change and then I got it all changed to 20s. I came back to now put everything and the last $20 was an issue. I called Selma who was on shift and she was patient and kind to help though I was agitated. The store is cashless and I can appreciate the reasoning behind it 100% I suggest the store finds some way to partner with TD Bank for a safe alternative solution to customers who need big bills changed.
