This supermarket is the WORST!! I only visit here out of dire necessity, and every time I do, I regret it.

• CUSTOMERS BEWARE * THEY OFFER ITEMS ON SALE THAT NEVER SCAN AT SALE PRICE!! Every single time I shop here, there is a price discrepancy at the check out, and if I do not notice and bring it to their attention, I will walk away paying more than the current advertised price. This happens EVERYTIME I shop here!! I have spoken to the managers about it as well as the cashiers, who all get more agitated than anything else when it is brought to their attention, and their answer is a VERY poor and embarrassing excuse "We are very busy and it's hard to keep track of the prices and sales. It is the customer's duty to do so." It is an ON-GOING problem at this location. How horribly embarrassing for this business. Also, the cashiers ask customers if they would like their receipts instead of just handing it over like ALL other businesses do. I have observed so many customers in a hurry just paying, leaving their receipts behind and leaving the store, trusting that they were charged fairly. I have been burnt many times in this store and I am very vigilant when I shop here, and yet still, I ALWAYS have to stop the cashier and have her correct the pricing of my items. I can only imagine how many other customers get ripped off at this supermarket. Additionally, as previous posters have said, their meat department smells horribly, like rotting produce, and their vegetable department as well is very poor. Green produce shriveled and partly dry priced sky high. Buyer beware at this location. Check & Double check how much you paid and that you received the correct pricing. SHAME ON YOU, C-TOWN. I was rudely accosted by the manager here today for attempting to shop using my own cart. I could feel this man watching me and following me, before he loudly and accusatorially announced in front of several other customers that this was not allowed. He repeatedly mentioned that I’d missed the printed paper sign they have located at the front which states you must use their shopping carts; the way he spoke to me made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It was tactless and needlessly embarrassing, I still don’t understand why he felt the need to cause a scene over a mere misunderstanding. I approached him afterwards to let him know I felt the situation was handled inappropriately and his excuse was to blame the excessive volume of his voice on a sinus infection affecting his hearing—regardless of if this is the case, the situation was handled poorly.

In spite of their pitiful selection and dilapidated facilities, I’ve overlooked the fact that I can never complete my shopping list here, and have chosen to support my local store for about two years, until today. I left and will not be returning to this store, I would say be weary of coming here if you want to have a pleasant experience. The other staff here have always been lovely, but the manager is in desperate need of some interpersonal skills if he’s going to be on the floor interacting...

I really liked C-town but my latest trip turned me off. First, there was barely any good looking meat selection, nothing looked fresh like usual. The one pack of pork chops I bought, by the time I got home and opened it to clean and separate them into individual meal prep, it smelled bad I had to toss it. Then, the pre washed mixed greens I bought I opened it the next day and as I’m pulling it out to make a big salad the middle was soggy and mushy, I happen to glance at the front and it literally expires tomorrow. Maybe my fault for not checking the date but also shame on them for leaving products that expire the next day on the shelves (AT FULL PRICE). I don’t know what happened over there but now I feel ; That wasted my money that I’m already tightly budgeting. And 2. I’m no longer confident with their quality of meat and produce.
