FOOD BAZAAR — Local services in New York

Great supermarket that I've been going to for years. Good prices and the staff are very helpful. The only issue I really have, which hasn't been changed in the years I've been going to them, is with their public bathroom for customers. That bathroom is seriously disgusting. The whole back area is disgusting. I don't think it's very professional for customers to have to walk past the back storage area to get to a public restroom. It's closed off from the supermarket and seems deserted; so it doesn't feel safe. Once you enter the bathroom both doors of the stalls are broken. Both toilets do not flush. Everyone's previous bowel movements are there and the toilet paper dispensers after either broken or empty. The bathrooms are not well kept and makes you wonder how hygienic these employees are. They deal with our produce and food products and that's concerning. It's a shame because the actual supermarket seems well kept just the back area that no one else See's...

I usually go here and have no issues but today was different, I waited in line for 15 minutes because the customer that was getting rung up had all these wic papers and the register person took her sweet time and was talking to her coworkers as if she didn’t have a line. After the fact of waiting 15 minutes, they refused my NYC ID for the discount. Even though I let it be known I was waiting for 15 minutes and the register girl knew too. I even called the store and the person on the phone told me to come back to the store and I asked her “am I going to get some money back or something” and she told me “I’m not sure”. I completely had to pay more than I should have due to the slow and apathetic clerk. Mind you their time was also before 7 so they should’ve given me...

I would love for everyone to know how awful this supermarket has been getting. We went food shopping yesterday and waited for about 10mins to place an order and since we didn’t see any one we started yelling hello May we get some help and the guy inside came rushing out screaming and yelling because he felt as if he were bothering him he even lifted up his arms as if he was going to hit us. It’s extremely unacceptable to have someone serving people like that , when I call to make a complain nobody helps and the guy on the phone who claims in the manager efran told us he can only give a warning , A WARNING? That guy needs to be taking out of that place and put in a damn mental hospital. Disgusting place be careful...
