Good variety but honestly speaking, attitude is horrible. Went in the morning and I took a photo of a bun, just to show my family member and check if this was the right one. A guy (sounded like he was the boss) comes up and was like hey, what did you take a photo of? Did you take a lot? And he was looking at my phone. I told him literally just took one because I thought it was cute. He looked like didn’t believe me and kept trying to look at my phone. Didn’t even bother hiding my phone from him and I showed him the photo. Then we went our separate ways but he kept looking back at me. I’m just curious, is there anything wrong with taking a photo of what I’m going to buy? I have to make sure I’m buying the right one right? It’s not as if I’m buying anyone unique or taking a photo of the supermarket design and it’s just one photo. Honestly just killed the mood. Maybe I’m making a big deal out of it but I don’t really run into this issue elsewhere. This was the photo I took.
To summarize price is fine and comparable to other Asian markets but in terms of an experience and attitude, the boss or manager will probably not be the best. Other workers...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my recent shopping experience at my local store, where I have been a regular customer.
Upon entering the store, I noticed an employee staring at me, which I initially dismissed as insignificant. However, as I continued shopping, I encountered a box of mangos with some bruised ones. I proceeded to replace the bruised mangos with fresh ones from another box, which is when the employee approached me and abruptly yelled, "I will charge you $2 extra for doing that!"
Despite my explanation, the employee continued to yell and threaten me with extra charges. As a loyal customer who lives across the street, I was taken aback by this treatment. I requested to speak with a manager, Helen, who explained the store's reasoning behind the $2 extra charge. However, I was disappointed to see that the employee who yelled at me faced no consequences for their rude behavior.
This experience has led me to decide not to shop at this store again and to discourage my friends and family from doing so as well. The lack of welcoming atmosphere and unfair treatment has driven me away from my...
Read moreJust as dirty and messy as the average Asian market in flushing. They literally just opened a week ago and already it's a disaster.
The workers are unhelpful and the produce is old. Am if the open refrigeration units were failing and something somewhere is there was leaking everywhere. After spending who knows how much time and money to launch this place must've used the worst contractors.
All freezer and refrigeration units were not new and obviously had years of mileage on them.
Any produce on sale is because it's already molding. I am speaking from experience. Over $30 wasted on bad fruit.
EDIT: it's been a few years since I've been here. I guess their Grand opening should've been their soft opening. Nonetheless it's much cleaner, I guess the hype is gone since I didn't feel like 5,000 people trying to push their way into this small supermarket.
Still, it's small, cleaner, basically atypical Asian supermarket with regards to quality and availability.
It's nice they fixed the problems they had, but they don't really stand out in the crowded field of these...
