It's a late review from my dining experience on Father's day. Our family of 4 dined in and spent almost $260 but we didnt have a good dining experience.
Food - We got the maw chicken soup base and pork bone broth. I like the broth it's tasty. Typical hot pot food, sliced beef, shrimp paste..etc. Also got the premium Wagyu bbq combo which is like $98. Do not recommend the combo, not worth it.
Price - definitely overpriced. I don't remember exactly but they charged about $15 for the maw chicken broth for single serving, that's a rip off. Pork bone broth is about $10 per person.
Service - there were only 2 ppl working at the front including the cashier, understaffed. There are barely any service. One thing that upset me the most is the male server was busy grilling the meat for the male customer next to us that he didnt even help us with ours at all. That's bias. If no service then why should I tip? We still left 18% tips when paying but will not return. Our first and last...
Read moreA recently opened Taiwanese in Little Neck, situated between Queens and Long Island. There’s an unconfirmed rumor that a chef from the former 66 restaurant on Prince Street as part of the team. We visited on the weekday evening, and while the restaurant was nearly full, there was no wait. The space is clean, and the staff is friendly. While another review mentioned slow servers, we found it to be fine-just a bit overwhelmed.
Overall, the food was just average. Some dishes captured the authentic Taiwanese flavors, but my standards for Taiwan is cruising are quite high. The only dish I can truly recommend is the hakka stirfry mini squid. That said, I can’t judge too harshly since we didn’t try the pork chop or a salt and pepper chicken over rice-either of which could have changed experience entirely. Wishing them the best of luck, and always happy to support...
Read moreHaving just returned from the vibrant streets of Taiwan, my taste buds were still singing with the authentic flavors I experienced. I was honestly a little skeptical about finding anything that could truly compare back home, but this place absolutely blew me away! From the first bite, it was clear that this isn't your average street food. There's a noticeable elevation in the quality and presentation, but thankfully, the authentic taste remains completely intact. It's like a delicious flashback to the night markets of Taipei – the same incredible aromas, the same satisfying textures, and those unmistakable, bold flavors that define Taiwanese cuisine. If you're craving a true taste of Taiwan without the long flight, look no further. This spot has managed to capture the magic and deliver an experience that genuinely competes with the real deal. Highly, highly...
