Monique was super nice and she really does have a gentle touch, she never pulled my hair or hurt my scalp so as someone getting braids for the first time since childhood I really appreciated that. I hate to rate her only 4 stars but I have to be honest. The price ($180) and time (6 hours) were perfect for me as the braids I got looked beautiful (chest length knotless French curls) but over the last couple of days the braiding hair has been falling out :( I have to put my hair in a bun for sanitary reasons at work but I guess the constant handling of my hair has caused the little knots Monique put at the ends of the braid (beginning of the curl) to unravel. I've had 2 braids come undone already and when I investigated the rest of my hair I found so many braids with the bottom knots loose or fully undone. I would still recommend Monique's services since I see no one else has had this issue and I might have just gone in on an off day for her but I would recommend just double checking your ends are properly done before...

This is the first time in YEARS where I felt like the price and the quality I received was justified. Monique did a great job in delivering what I asked for. I got regular simple knot box braids. I didn't have to do non refundable deposit, I didn't have to wait forever, there's no grass wall, etc. I was also able to get my hair done the same day that I called.
