The Big Park — Attraction in New York

Clean. Bathrooms were open and relatively clean for a public park but lacked toilet paper. Not a lot of shaded areas for parents to sit and supervise but lots of benches in the sun. I wasn't a fan of the fenced in greenery in the middle of the park it obscured my view an attracted more bugs. The greenery surrounding the park could use some maintenance. An excellent park run by the city, great place if you have young children, everything is brand new, play ground with an assortment of playing stuff for kids swings, and there even is an area in the park for the fitness enthuses, there are basketball courts, and a hand ball or paddle ball court, there are both a mens, and a ladies restroom, I mean a great place for the young...

Its the only outdoor space in the area if you're an apartment dweller. It's very nice especially on the spring/summer when the foliage is in bloom. There are ample benches & a playground with a sprinkler to kids. During the daylight hours it's a joy, but it may be another story once the sun goes down...
