Redline Hobbies — Local services in New York

Hello I’m pretty new to the RC car hobby. A year in. I have purchased 4 cars within that year. First 2 were Typhons TLR 6s RTR’s Then A Kraton 6s EXB Then The Felony 6s… Today I went to Redline Hobby Shop and I can’t say enough about the RC community welcome I felt from the 3 patrons that were in there let alone from the gentleman named Mike that was behind the counter. Then I found out he was the owner.. He was working on one of the gentlemen’s vehicles So I was expecting that it would be a while before he could get to me and my issues. But through casual conversation and interaction between All of the men in the shop he over heard what my issue was and told me what needed to be done.. He Stopped working on the car he was on and came to my Felony 6s To troubleshoot. He resolved the issue I was having and answered some questions that I had regarding running lights on the vehicle…This will be a shop that I will go back to on a regular… Thanks Again Mike it was nice meeting you.. Well today I went to get arrma talion 6s exb rear driveshaft and the price was 29.99 no outer cups and said when I got there it was gonna be 36.65, but with new york combined taxes of a total of 8.75% that comes to 32.65 so why the extra 4$ charge then online there sold with the outer cups so I didn't think to say that, and he wanted another 24.99 for two outer cups of which he didn't have so of course I was not going to buy the driveshaft with out the cups needed to make work and was all ok bye! Well that's my sign not to come back when they try to screw you over on the cost of the parts and gets a attitude with me and everything I would have spent my money there the over 100$ today but I don't feel like supporting people who don't have decency or let alone manners. This is not the shop to go to. Go to island Hobby Nut in Queens. You will get way cheaper prices and welcoming service with a smile. What happened to the way it used to be! The owner is who did it. So...
