Mexicana Deli Grocery — Restaurant in New York

Best Mexican food in this area. I always get excited to find deli's like this one. They make Mexican food and sell Mexican produce. All their produce is amazingly fresh.

I went with 5 people and we were able to sit and eat. The wait for the table was pretty long but worth it. This is a very small place and when it gets packed people get very upset, because there is no space to move.

Its understandable why the waiter may get frustrated. However she can still be a little nicer. This is a very good place to get Mexican food at. I will definitely come back for food. They have the best pozole ive had and I don't even like white pozole. The maize literally melts in your mouth, I love me a tasty broth.

Also had tlacoyos with red and green sauce and they were delicious. I regret not having a a torta because they also looked amazing. Good excuse for me...

There are so many good reviews on this place, how? I tried this place out last night. I ordered a chicken burrito, AL pastor nachos and AL pastor tacos. The burrito was poorly wrapped, everything came out it was a total mess. Too much rice and very little chicken. The little chicken that it had was cut up super tiny and dry. Worst burrito ive had in a long while. My bf had the tacos but he didn't say anything about that so I assume they were fine. He did say the nachos were soggy and that it sucked. First and last time I buy food...

As much as I would love to say the food is bad because of what they do I will not. The food is actually descent. My issue with this place is that they love to charge whatever they want when you place an order and it's like if you don't notice it's like ok whatever but when you charge 4 different prices for almost the same order each time when placed and purchased, no that's when you know something is up.
