Beautiful skatepark but I showed up this morning excited to skate and was hit with an overwhelming chemical odor once I arrived. Park employees were spraying down the tags with a strong chemical cleaner via a power washer. One even came up to me to tell me it’s super slippery and will damage my crocs and wheels if I don’t wait until the puddles dry. My question is why is this a priority?? Tagging is apart of skate culture and if “vandalism” is a concern for the community why provide a safe space for skaters to express themselves in the first place? Seems redundant and puts folks who show up at risk from inhaling those vapor fumes. A night cleaning at closing hour would be ideal.

Looking for a track to add variety to my marathon training, I found this park with a good track, well maintained field, and other things activities like tennis courts, skateboarding, basketball courts, and sitting areas. I was pleasantly surprised, and had a great run/training. As I train for the NY Marathon, follow me on Instagram: Sherwayne.a.m "Race for the Gold" 👍

Great Park for the whole family with a range of sports activities. They have 3 kids playgrounds with plenty of swings and 3 sprinkler system throughout the park. It also holds a track and field, soccer field, basketball court, and tennis courts. Lots of benches and a few picnic tables.

okay this skatepark is awesome! especially for beginners but they need to put an age restriction (like 13+). if you go in the spring and fall while school is in session for kids it’s perfect but now that it’s the summer it’s overtaken by little kids playing tag and riding bikes all over the place without any regards to the other skaters. don’t get me wrong, skateboards, bikes, scooters, rollerskates+blades should all be there but only if they’re old enough to understand not to get in the way of others. PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS PLAY HERE. there are literally two playgrounds in oval park for kids to have fun in. THE RAMPS ARE NOT SLIDES. THE RAIL ON THE STAIRS ARE DIRTY AND MEANT FOR TRICKS, NOT FOR YOUR KIDS TO SLIDE DOWN ON. don’t get mad when your kids get hurt...

First of all this is supposed to be a park for kids to play and be safe but we got older kids fighting j.h.s kids while they in h.s smoking weed cigarettes and there are no cops around and the little gym they have to work out n the staff don't even come outside to see what's going on around them fights n the bathroom and the bathroom are dirty we need some type of police walking around making sure the kids are safe so disappointed I keep my kids away from there and there are no cameras n the tunnels where the kids walk it's a blind spot anything can happen and has adults dont walk thru there so sad we need help for...
