CVS; 451-461 Bloomfield Avenue, Newark, NJ. I just left this CVS and honestly, I’m extremely disappointed. From the moment I walked in, the store felt like a complete mess. Shelves were half-empty, product selection was poor, and the store itself looked like it hadn’t been maintained in weeks. The carpets were visibly dirty, like they hadn’t been vacuumed or cleaned in ages — it just gave off a neglected vibe.
The pharmacy had an incredibly long line with no clear sense of urgency or efficiency. On top of that, the store staff felt completely disengaged. The cashier who rang me up didn’t acknowledge me once — I said hello, she didn’t respond or make eye contact. She scanned my items, gave me the total, and when I said “thank you,” she ignored me and just called out “next” for the next person in line. Not a single ounce of courtesy or professionalism.
I don’t know who’s managing this location, but it’s clear the standards are slipping — badly. I normally don’t leave reviews, but this store felt so neglected and unwelcoming that I had to say something. I hope corporate or local management sees this and takes real steps to improve the cleanliness, stocking, and staff engagement...
Read moreIf there was a reward for the worst CVS in America, I truly believe this one would win. The pharmacy gives me a problem every single time. Every single time I have to go talk to the pharmacist, either to be told they don’t have what i was prescribed, it was on hold, they need to alternate it etc. I try to be patient and understanding because CVS’s are notoriously understaffed and underpaid. But there’s always a long line. There was two times where I spent TWO HOURS in this CVS waiting for them to fill my prescriptions. Another time they told me they didn’t have the pill capsule form but they had tablet form, then they said they didn’t have the tablets either! It’s just horrible when you’re standing there sick, surrounded by other sick people, and you have to wait 30mins-2 hours to maybe not even get what you were prescribed. I don’t drive so this is the closest pharmacy to me but I’m just going to switch and take the bus to a different one from now on. I can’t...
Read moreThe store itself is fine. The Pharmacy is a completely different story. Run, do not walk, and find a different pharmacy.
I went in to pick up prescriptions for a friend. Promise times for prescriptions not kept (not for hours), getting an attempted dismissal and flippant response for asking if you don't know, can you ask someone how long I have to wait. I plainly stated that this is ridiculous (twice). At this point, I sat down in the Waiting Area. We had a staring contest before he finally did ask someone. It took less than 20 minutes to fill. I was there for approximately 50 minutes, when I was supposed go in, pickup prescriptions, and leave. The next day, I find out that they did not have 1 of the prescription but did not bother to tell me that. Just never mentioned it at all. 🤦🏾♀️ So, save yourself, and go to a...
