Carvel — Restaurant in Newark

Not happy with this location I brought in a coupon buy one get one and was told it's only for the small I go to South Orange Livingston and other locations and never have they limited my selection but I wanted ice cream so I said ok I thought well it's cheaper according to the menu it's $3.79 so whatever when I got my credit card statement she charged me $5 that's what I pay in a better area for a large so I pointed to the menu and was told that's just ice cream you bought a sundae. I'm going to stick to areas where they do NOT CHEAT the customers. I've been to several locations and that price on the sign is the price for the sundaes which is why there's more than 1 price. Shame on you Carvel for cheating me I'll never come back to that...

While I love carvel this particular one leaves a lot to be desired. I come in for one thing, a vanilla cone with a hard chocolate covering. Everything it needs to be stirred I get it... today I came asked for my order and got told I need to wait a minute or two... and then the guy takes the next customer which is a group of 2.

With their rate of icecream set up I would be waiting 5 more minutes for my icecream minimum.. I walked out. Incredibly disappointing service for the price you pay.

At this point might as well just get a McDonald icecream. Its cheaper and more reliable which...

Wednesdays are supposed to be Buy One Get One Free Sundaes. The menu says "with your choice of Ice Cream." Unfortunately it is not. They should be more specific with their menu and their marketing. The manager would not honor it even though it was obviously for my four year old. When I thanked him and told him that I'd rather not order anything he shrugged his shoulders as he restocked his freezer and sarcastically wished me a good night. That is not my only bad experience in this location. Just sad that this is what officially made me realize I should never...
