If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in on a saturday to upgrade to a new phone. All seemed well, went from an iPhone to another iPhone...not everything transferred immediately to my new phone from the old one but they assured me that it probably would continue to download and clone overnight...Monday came and it still wasnāt right and now, it had created duplicates of photos and tripled the amount of photos in my storage, my calendar was wiped out, photo albums (years worth) totally gone, none of my apps were there, none of my notes or memos. All my contacts were totally messed up and some missing. So I called Monday to let them know it hadnāt worked and to not erase the old phone until we got it figured out. I went in Tuesday morning and was told the only way I could clone my old phone to the new phone was to upgrade and pay monthly for iCloud storage and then backup the phone through iCloud. I have NEVER had to do this with any of the other 3 smartphone upgrades they always have just cloned it in around an hour at other locations....but, frustrated, I agreed. It was Thursday afternoon before the iCloud backup was complete (they said due to the large amount of photos I had, which mind you, had been tripled on accident, BY THEM)...by this time I was so frustrated that simply getting a new phone and cloning it had taken almost a full week that I called another location (Boone) and asked if they had the capability to just clone it (since Newland told me this wasnāt possible and that there were no locations that could do this...even though Iāve had it done in the past elsewhere..Boone assured me this was no problem and they would take care of it and even eat and credit me any restocking fees that Newland gave me a hard about. Awesome!.so I just asked for my money back on the new phone, to get my old phone back and I was going to take my sale to the Boone store...they rudely told me that the only way to get my old phone back was to pay the 25% remaining balance on it (Iām on the flex plan which allows you to upgrade for free once your phone is paid off 75% or more)....which was $175....to get my OLD phone back ??!!@@&?$?! After a fight they finally called corporate who were more then willing to wave the fee and make it right...but not after being rudely talked to by one of the female sales representatives and telling her to find another way because there was no way I was paying that...not to mention, they ātestedā my iCloud backup on a dummy phone they had in the store to āmake sure it would work before doing it on my new phoneā...so all of my personal information was then on a random phone in their store which the Boone location said was unheard of and a complete infringement on my privacy. Probably borderline illegal. I made them erase it infront of me but it still makes me angry and it also caused some corrupted files when Boone went to fix it and make it all right. Long story short (lol too late for that ;)), I would NOT recommend this location. I was super close to canceling my service with the whole company due to this experience until the Boone location stepped in and was so helpful and fixed it for me. I have no idea how they have a 5 star rating on here other then to think they rated themselves. Since this experience Iāve heard from other friends that they had similar experiences at this location....
