A second line was opened right around 1020ish on 7NOV by a woman named Amanda. A man with a lot in his cart two people before me asked to go through the line without checking out and then box his groceries and then come back and check out. The cashier let him do that and then checked out the lady in front of me. The man then came back with his boxed items and the cashier proceeded to check him out by reaching into each box and and pulling stuff up from the other side of the counter and carefully placing it back into each box. This resulted in taking a lot more time then if she (cashier) would have checked him out like she does everyone else (loose items on conveyor belt). Please note the man was not disabled or in a wheel chair where it appears this should have been accommodated. Plus, he could have easily walked out of the store without paying since she let him through with the groceries before checking out.
Then when she got to me at 1028 I put my recyclable bag in the cart, the cashier asked me how I was doing and I said I would be better after I left (implying the wait was unacceptable) as the line was now backed up. She then proceeded to put all 8 of my items in the cart and not my bag. This then further held up the line as I didnt have a cart so I couldn't take the cart over to the boxing counter and had to bag it while the couple behind me waited on me to finish bagging my stuff. This appears discrimatory since she was willing to accommodate the man in front of me with a whole cart full of groceries yet wouldn't place my 8 items directly...
Read moreWe watched the security guard harass an elderly couple this evening. The husband pulled his car up to the door so his limited mobility wife (who had just left her scooter cart inside the door) would have a shorter walk to get into the vehicle. The security guard proceeded to yell at the elderly man and took a picture of their license plate as they left. He was not parked for an extended period of time, just long enough to allow his wife to return her scooter and walk out. I bet the security guard is proud to know he's keeping the Aldi parking lot safe from the disabled elderly population. This is the 2nd unfortunate time we've encountered generally unkind behavior from this security guard. It costs literally zero dollars to be a kind and considerate person. Sometimes following the rules isn't more important than being a...
Read moreAldi getting more and more crowded is as the prices go up, but the store is a good place to shop. A lot of their stuff is offbrand, but it taste just as good. The prices are good, but they have gone up, but theyâre still cheaper than the big grocery stores. Sometimes itâs like going to Walmart because the aisles are full of stock sitting in the way. And items that you bought a week ago are not there anymore but itâs still a good store. I can recommend going to Aldiâs over the big stores for the majority of your groceries but sometimes you do have to go to the big stores to get everything because Aldi doesnât carry 500 different items of the same product and the store is smaller so they canât...
