Cowgirl boot shopping for me is like swimsuit shopping for most women: mission impossible. If the boot fits me from toe to heel, it will always be too tight over the top of my foot, and never, ever fit my legs. I've been to the biggest boot stores in Texas, had multiple sales people helping, and tried on boots until I was surrounded by stacks of boots as tall as me, just leave with a pair of boots that "kind of" fit.

So, when I was in too much pain to wear the pair I bought a decade ago and I walked into our small local shoe store, I wasn't hopeful and never expected to leave with a pair of boots. I explained my boot problems to the woman working (I think her name was Andrea??) and she immediately put me at ease and began pulling ladies size 8 wide boots for me to try (weird since I don't wear any other wide shoes, but it fixed the issue with the top of my foot hurting). Unfortunately after trying on a half dozen pairs, they were all still tight around my calves.

I was ready to call it, but she asked me if I'd mind trying on a men's boot. She went to the back and came out with a men's size 7, which I never expected to fit (or be cute!). I've never been happier to be wrong. When I pulled it on it felt like it was made for my foot; I cried happy tears. For the first time in my life I have a pair of comfortable cowgirl (well, technically cowboy) boots! I can't thank Country Footwear enough for the high-quality, cute, reasonably priced, COMFORTABLE boots and the amazing customer service! I didn't even want to take them off to take...

This store in newport, PA 17074 has just about every sneaker, boot slides/sandals you could ever need. Affordable prices. The only downfall was a few years ago I ordered a $250-$300 paid of thorogood boots and was told they would order them. I offered to pay half of the cost of the boot and was informed that wasn't necessary. I was told it would take about 2-3 weeks for delivery to the shop. I waited roughly 4 weeks, never recieved a phone call or text so I swung by and the lady there NEVER even ordered the boots. It was highly upsetting because I was guaranteed they would be there. I love these people! While their on the shelf selection is not always that of a specialty shoe store, they do have a good offering of high quality shoes and boots across the spectrum of uses. They are also very aware of the cost of what the sell, and the importance that what you buy is really worth the expense. They appear to be knowledgeable about what they sell, and are more than willing to make special orders in an effort to meet the needs of their customers.
