Sales are scammy at best they leave the items on sale in the back until asked about them. Then "not the employees" but middle management gets an attitude when they are asked about the items. They used to be friendly but not anymore. I am unsure what happened. UPDATE: I tried to give Theisens another chance and they are still trying to bait and switch with price tags saying 2 thing but when it rings up it is more. Yes i did make sure I matched the item with the price tag. I am so disappointed.
UPDATE: 5-25-24 I haven't been to this Theisen's in over a year since they have moved. They have not improved. My visit today was as memorable and disappointing as the last. The negativity from my visit again all happened at the cash register. Today from what I could gather there seemed to be an issue witth another customers return. Which caused a huge backup at the checkout. There was only 1 checker. There were many employees running around the store. After at least 10 other customers (or more I'm uncertain as I was next in like this entire time) finally someone eventually came to the checkout counter to help with the return. Then about another 5 minutes later one of them finally called for more checkers. Unfortunately for me though everyone behind me flooded to the open lines so I was still left waiting with my items. When I finally was able to check out I attempted to make a joke with the employee hoping to break my own stress too however I was met with rudeness. I did run into other employees in the store and asked for help and they were actually very pleasant. Overall though I personally will not be returning. I am a handicap person. I'm not in a wheelchair but need my back fused. I do my best. I have my sticker and parked in the handicap spot. After standing in one spot for that long though it sure wasn't easy making it back to my vehicle. I guess I'm just wowed. I only wanted to give them money...
Read moreSo I'll happily explain my 5 star rating. Carol is why. I have been to this store one time. I bought online to pick up in store because of a great deal they had. Never having been there decided to check it out. I buy a lot of tools not only because I'm a union glazier but different types of home improvement jobs on the side and if I have the time (and even when I don't) I'm responsible for the mechanical maintenance and upkeep on our 2 cars and truck as well as my mother-in-law's SUV. So I of course went immediately to the tool aisle and was presented with 2 prices to the same Milwaukee packout toolbox. $10 difference between the 2 prices. Carol not only was willing to honor the lower price but since I had just made a purchase and was unsure of spending more money that very second told me to come back she would still honor it. That's some serious customer service. Thank you Carol I will be back for...
Read moreI like their items and the employees are great, but I had a situation where when the store moved to a new location in Newton, I was asked to sign up for rewards. I gave my name and phone number but was never informed that I had to go online to sign up. I bought a lot of things for my garden, etc., giving them my number at every purchase, but came to find out that I did not get any points for my purchases or bonus points for my birthday as I had no online account. I am being cheated out of points because their employees had not been properly trained in the rewards program. Local customer service added points back to August but no further. A phone call to support above that was fruitless and I felt the person I spoke to couldn't have cared less. Well, Wal-Mart is across the street from them and I will be checking for items there, first. Very unhappy with Theisen's...
