Mary and all the instructors I had at Insight Fine Art Studio as an adult student have been amazing. I was someone who always enjoyed drawing and they literally teach you from scratch how to use various mediums, how to draw, how to paint to the point where I was able to create pieces I cherish forever. Though it’s a group setting they individualize to your needs unlike other studios that do group classes or have you work on a project of their choosing. I was able to create a charcoal piece of my grandma that would be the only thing I would grab if there was a fire in my house lol. Also if you just want to try it you can do a free trial class or pay monthly. Super flexible with make ups. People in the class are very nice or you don’t have to interact with them at all. I attended an art workshop given by Susie Monday June 2 and Wednesday June 4th. This was excellent, Susie did a step by step class wherein each step was accompanied with great explanation of product use and procedure for the painting. I feel I learned a wonderful process and I am hopeful she again holds a workshop in this step by step manner. Learning which brushes work for different areas of the painting, color and color mixing, use of supportive materials for the outcome. Understanding contrasts in the painting and how to draw the subject was great. For me, this is a great way to learn as I can understand how to do a painting, duplicate and practice afterwards.
