Hello! As I pulled into the Meijer parking lot, there was plenty of parking available. There was also parking for people with disabilities. As I entered the store, I had a warm feeling. There were lots of people with lots of groceries to select! I observed there was no lettuce on the shelves to select from. I met with James, who had multiple carts of food restocking. I asked if there was any lettuce available in the back. James mentioned he could check. I don't want to waste your time if there is no lettuce available. He stopped what he was doing and told me he and ran off to check. I continued shopping towards the deli section. James came out of the back with an entire case of lettuce! What James did not know is my bunny ate her last meal of lettuce! Thanks to James checking the warehouse, my bunny will have a meal tonight! Thank you, James! I also want to thank Tyler at the customer service department for assisting me with the setup of my MPERKS account. That was special! Oh, there is Caroline. She is a dream! I was at the deli picking up my meat. She went by assisting someone. I was picking up parsley, and she went by again helping someone else. At checkout, the cashier had a question, yup, here comes Caroline to help! After shopping, I wanted to leave a comment with someone. Yup, again, there is Caroline at the customer service desk! Wow! Caroline, Tyler, and James are assets to the Meijer! Most of all, I got the "Hometown feel" shopping here! By the way, I did not like shopping until I shopped here at Meijer! Not only did I get the Hometown feel, I felt a genuine, warm welcome like family! I look forward to my next shopping...
Read moreThey take advantage of people who use the grocery for pick up and put them at risk of serious food Bourne illness. Im disabled and use the pick up due to severe nerve damage and muscle damage. Atleast half the time I’ve used the service I’ve either not gotten half my groceries or the food is well past the expiration date. It’s hard to believe it’s not intentional at this point. The last time I came they gave me chocolate milk that expired 5 weeks prior and was spoiled. Why is it still even in the store? They shouldn’t be selling anything past the sell by date and you’re still trying to sell milk that expired over a month prior and is visibly spoiled. Do u know why people pick up their groceries? They might be disabled and in too much pain or loss of physical function to stand in line or be on their feet for an hour doing their grocery. And no those motorized carts aren’t helpful when half the food is out of reach and it’s too busy inside to use it. So Instead of trying to make a profit on rotting and spoiled food why don’t you just charge for the pick up service then. I’ll happily pay an additional fee for my pick up service. But they shouldn’t be attempting to sell spoiled food. Its bs at this point. It’s not like your pick up lanes are even busy there’s never anyone there and...
Read moreI’m pretty sad about my first experience at the store and hoping it isn’t what to expect going forward. The location is nice and easy to get to. The store was clean and cashier was friendly. We went in on the 2nd day that the store was opened and got our groceries only to realize that several items would expire the next day or were already rotting. We saw rotted melons on the shelf and let a worker know (who didn’t seem to care). Bought ground beef and a bag of onions. The beef had an expire date of the next day (we should have looked) and ended up throwing out most of the onions due to mold already growing on them when we opened the bag. Only 2 of about 10 onions was usable. Prices were okay, but on the higher side for some non-perishable things that we usually...
