A Flavorful Experience at OCE Japanese Cuisine!
I recently had the pleasure of trying OCE Japanese Cuisine in Noblesville, and I was thoroughly impressed by the flavors and quality of the food!
The takeout experience was seamless, and the food arrived hot and fresh. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. From sushi to noodle dishes, every bite was packed with flavor and care.
However, I would not recommend dining in at OCE. The dining area felt like a relic of the past, reminiscent of the 2020 lockdown era. The decor and ambiance were lacking, making it feel more like a makeshift dining space rather than a welcoming restaurant.
Highlights:
Delicious and flavorful food Great takeout experience Generous portions and beautiful presentation
Disappointing Aspects:
Dining area decor and ambiance need improvement
Suggestions for Improvement:
Update the dining area decor and ambiance to create a more welcoming atmosphere Consider adding more seating options or rearranging the layout to make the space feel more modern and inviting
Tips for Future Visitors:
Take advantage of the takeout option for the best experience Try the sushi and noodle dishes for a flavor explosion If dining in, be prepared for a less-than-modern atmosphere
Overall, OCE Japanese Cuisine is a great option for those looking for delicious Japanese food with great flavors. While the dining area could use some improvement, the takeout experience...

First, it's not like the usual hibachi grills that we've been to before. There is NO sitting around a huge grill and watching the "culinary show" as the chef prepares your meal...that's where the "express" part comes in. You walk in place an order at the counter, and then choose a table or just carry it out. The food is prepared then brought out to you in paper containers...plastic silverware, paper plates...bottled drinks. Now, the service was wonderful. The food and the sushi rolls were excellent. I had the shrimp hibachi dinner and he had the steak hibachi dinner. Each entrée came with fried rice, meat and vegetables, and a salad. I tried a japanese sprite ( a melon flavored soda - yum!) We shared a sweet potato roll (excellent) and a crazy roll (tuna, hot peppers, cream cheese, crunch -yum!). You get so much for the price...which was very reasonable! But, just a warning, it did take quite a while to get our meals...so if you are in a hurry you might think twice about this place. I think that for those dining in, they need to bring out at least the salad first....rather than giving you EVERYTHING AT ONCE nearly 30 min. later. I will say again that the food was wonderful. I also like the idea of hibachi meals to go...so we probably will call in and carry out in...
Read moreI’m disappointed to see poor reviews for this place because we have always had a great experience here! This is a fast food sushi/ hibachi restaurant....some of you who left poor ratings need to lower your expectations a bit. You certainly wouldn’t expect McDonalds to serve anything like Bru Burger so I don’t know why people are assuming this place would serve anything on par with an actual hibachi restaurant like Sapporo. Pretty sure most fast food places that you can eat-in at don’t serve plates and silverware either, so take your tears about eating out of a to-go box elsewhere. Talk about entitlement. Let’s be realistic here, folks!
The pricing is fair and the food is great! The portions are more than you’d expect and very filling. I’m glad to have this option over McDonald’s any day of the week. My husband, kids and I enjoy it very much! They have great lunch time prices too. The owner is very friendly! She even brought my order out to my car one day when I had all my kids in tow and the baby was crying.
Happy to have you in our neighborhood and will definitely keep...
