I'd give them no stars for what they've done but I can't. I went to this theater to get some popcorn on 11FEB22 in the evening. I entered the establishment as I have had many times, maskless due to a medical condition that prohibits me. It's never been an issue. I carry a medical exemption signed by my physician, I'm accompanied by a service dog 9 out of 10 times I go into public, unless she can't be there, and I maintain 6 feet distance per protocol. Im disabled & have Narcolepsy with Cataplexy. Wearing a mask makes me a fall risk and also triggers my symptoms; and my physician acknowledged this and wrote the exemption. Now that you have my back story...
I was yelled at by the ticket tearing girls as soon as I walked in, which brought attention to me--and told ?me "You need a mask." I informed them that I have an exemption and would gladly present it to them and they refused. One rolled their eyes and headed to what I'm assuming is the manager. I proceeded to walk to the counter to get the popcorn and the cashier refused to serve me for over 5 minutes. I attempted to show her where the CDC states that people like me do not have to wear them because they're unsafe, and had my exemption in the other hand. The cashier was agitated and decided to service me despite any rules she had been told. I was thankful. Until the General Manager approached me and said it was company policy that I wear a mask..I explained that's great, to protect people like me...but I'm exempt and handed my paper his way & had the CDC information pulled up on my phone. He refused to take either of them. Fine. I told him what he was doing was illegal and discriminatory and the establishment could be sued for refusing someone like me service. He said he wouldn't refuse me for my disability, but he could refuse me for being rude. I was not being rude. I told him if I'm coming off rude, I don't notice my tone because I'm autistic and I appreciate him telling me so I could correct my tone. He then proceeded to tell me that "Autistic or not" he didn't need to serve me because I was rude. He proceeded to tell the cashier to give me my popcorn and don't sell me movie tickets. Fortunately I wasn't there...
Read moreThis was my first time visiting and I've lived in the area over 10 years. I usually go the AMC theater in VB but finally decided to go here because of the movie price. I wanted to give it a try and was somewhat disappointed. Ticket price was good, concession price was high as usual. The #1 (which no prices were listed) was $21.92 which included a large popcorn, drink, and candy of your choice. If the price was shown I wouldn't have gotten it. I understand they need to make money off the concessions, and they are $1.05 less than the AMC theater for the same thing. Picture quality was not sharp, and sound was not impressive at all. Seating was okay and probably the best thing from the whole experience. I was going to pay for my ticket online but decided to save $2 and not pay the convivence fee which is ridiculous. It would seem buying your ticket online would be more of a convivence for them! AMC does the same thing though, so I get it. For a few dollars more and reward points earned I think I'll stick with AMC, picture quality and 4k sound makes a difference. Also, theaters are larger and more modern. It's possible they need to upgrade the projectors and sound system. The arcade area looked updated if you have kids who want...
Read moretremendous potential, believe me, but it's only getting four stars because of two things: the location and the product, total deal-breakers in some ways. Pricing is always a movie theater's biggest struggle, folks, but this one? Great on the tickets, really smart, they bait you in with those low prices, and then boom—you walk in and see the concession menu, OH MY GOD, I ordered like a popcorn and a soda, 30 bucks! I could have filled a full tank of gas with that, just because I'm military, you think I'm made of money? Wow, highway robbery, absolute rip-off. But look, folks, I get it, it could be worse—I could be at AMC where they'd tear me apart, right? But here's the thing, with the location and the ticket pricing, they knew what they were doing; I've been to other military bases where that kind of concessions would go for close to 15 bucks, much better deal. But I will say, the theaters are good to great, not the absolute best like AMC with that Dolby Atmos fancy stuff, but just a step below—hands down, fantastic experience, really enjoyable. Four stars, could be yuge if they dialed back those...
