Firehouse Subs Nexcom — Restaurant in Norfolk

I love Firehouse Subs, but this was the worst takeout spot I've ever been to in my entire life. The girl running the register was screwing around in the back and not watching the line form (there were about 10 of us, not together). She acted shocked to see people lined up at 5:30pm, as if this is an abnormal time to grab a quick dinner. The guy making the sandwiches seemed as clueless as they come. He was bobbing his head and subtly dancing as he made sandwiches, which wouldn't be a problem if he was doing it with some sort of purpose. It took 25 minutes to make 3 subs. It's clear the manager was on break or in the bathroom. On a good note, they do have the coke machine that has what seems to be a million possibilities...

Very disappointed the place was closed before 1430 in the afternoon even though online it says it's open til 6pm, there was no sign saying they were closed just a rude lady saying closed, service towards military is just unsat!

UPDATE: Glad we respond to positive feedback but, nothing was done for the negative reviews. Next time your employee is rude, I'm requesting a manager and going full Kyle. Customer service from this franchise is the worst I ever dealt with, which is sad cause I actually enjoy there food, will not return to the NEX...

It is quite the rarity to be a patron of a chain restaurant and be met with EXCELLENT customer service, quality food, and personable engagement almost every time! The staff and product here are extremely exceptional! I can only assume they have leadership that cares. My usual go-to options are : Meatball Sub, Italian Grill Chicken Salad, Chicken and Dumplings or Tuna Sub . Any of those are golden . Even when I'm not ordering food there, the staff still recognizes me and greets with a warm...
