Went to this location yesterday to return shoes from my online order and they refused to take them. I ordered these shoes 11/09 and had to return them by 01/08. I started the return process via the app where it emailed me the return label and instructed me to take it to any torrid store. The return label which I was supposed to print or show them even put this locations address on it. When I got to the counter the cashier looked at them and told me these shoes were now on clearance and I couldn't get a refund anymore. I left confused because the app just processed the return and said I could return it to this store. I left out the store because they don't have signal inside I looked in the app again to confirm that I was still within the time frame and that I didn't purchase the items on clearance and went back in the store where a cashier with blue hair and glasses waited on me. I explained to her that I pulled the app back up and that I didn't purchase the items on clearance and that the app has already processed the return to this store im just supposed to be dropping them off. She also did not bother to look up the items and stated that although they weren't on clearance when I bought them that because they are now on clearance I am unable to get a refund and that even though the app says to drop it off here I could not and she instructed me to take it up with customer service. I have a recording of this conversation. I did call customer service in the parking lot and they had no idea why the workers were saying that and said I shouldn't be having a problem with dropping the shoes off there as I was still within the return time frame and they were not final sale items. I didn't go back in the store a third time as I found it pointless to go back and forth with people who didn't even take the time to look up the order number and clearly don't know torrid's return policy. They delivered my order and it had been sliced open like either the driver or someone at the store had taken items out. When I went to pick up I received emails that ALL my items were ready and I even waited a few extra days to come down to get my stuff but somehow two pairs of pants and a pair of shoes were missing? No phone call or message to say there may be a delay and only once when I got there did I get told this new information.
I had opened up a credit card to place the hefty order for work clothes and this was heavily disappointing since I had planned to continue to use the card but now Iām not going to bother with the card or the company.
