There hospitality, welcoming, accommodation, friendliness, amiability is very poor from 1-10 I would give it a big ZERO. As we were checking in the general manager JONES was very rude and it seem like she didn’t have patience for guests checking in the hotel to ask questions nor explained anything to us. We had to ask her questions regarding our stay. (Very uninformative) The lobby looks old, they offer lemon water as a refreshment to guests, I tried it and it tasted like sink water and after I took a sip of water I saw the container holding the water which seems dirty and like it’s never washed it had brown stuff on it. The hall way smells very musty. The blinds/ curtains are stained and dirty. The pool looks dirty and it smells very musty and like mildew. The pool room looks sooo small it feels like you’re suffocating in a room with a very musty /bleach smell. As we went out to our room on #506 the elevators were dirty. The room was ok looking for our one night stay even though it had a old carpet smell. The ac helped a bit. I ALWAYS inspect for bed bugs. The mattress was clean, but then I spotted a BED BUG on the ceiling. We went downstairs to get the GM. Very discrete about it. She came upstairs with a maintenance lady She killed the bug and it left a red stain(blood)on the wall. Jones(General manager) &the maintenance lady lie saying it was a dry insect and she said th Red blood on the ceiling was actually PURPLE and that someone had wiped their nose on the ceiling and left a stain on the wall. She basically lied and she had my fiancée thinking I was going crazy over a small insect on the wall. All the maintenance lady did was kill it with a napkin and spray some type of air freshener. & left the stain on the wall. Didn’t even give us a new room knowing well her rooms are DIRTY. So everyone in my room was cool with bugs except me. I had to take all my belongings to the car. My fiancée thought I was exaggerating. We went to sleep at 1am I was up at 4am because my fiancée was banging on the door. He had left the room to go to the lobby and complain about him getting bit up by beg bugs at night. Until he got bit up like 10 times by bed bugs he believe me that I wasn’t exaggerating and that hotel is super DIRTY. The night employee gave us a new room, We changed to another room on the second floor Also had dirty smelling halls and rooms. The bathroom had tissue paper on the sink the blow dryer was out. It seemed like it wasn’t cleaned properly. Also had blood stains on the white sheets! No bugs here though.Well not that we seen any during the 5 hrs we stayed there. At 7:00 am when the manager got back to work we told her about our incident and she was like we never had bugs, denying it, quick to give us our money back because she knew she was wrong, and did not want to give us the OWNER information. My fiancée said he will sue them and she said you can’t sue a hotel. She was just very negative, see like she didn’t like her job, seem like she hire any one to work there as long as she pays them minimum wage. She was very rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate! 15 I hope the OWNER see this!! We stayed on 8/8/18. And she said the OWNER were in INDIA. Read moreMy husband and I stayed at tis hotel last year and was quite pleased with it BUT we stayed last weekend and it was a completely different experience. The carpet in the room 408 was filthy, just walking across the room made the bottom of my feet black plus there were noticeable stains in front of the couch. They had painted the ceiling over the tub and did a horrible job. The tub faucet was loose so when you pulled up the diverter button to switch the water from the faucet to the shower head if seemed like the faucet was going to fall off. The AC was not working as it should, in order to get it cool enough in the room we had to set it on 65. The 4th floor reeked of marijuana and was stiffling hot. The same with the elevator, no air circulating at all. Saturday night they had rented out a conference room for a private party. The music was so loud you could hear it down the hall when you exited the elevator, on the second floor and outside of the hotel. I know the conference rooms are extra income for the hotel but perhaps they should look into extra sound proofing. I spoke with another hotel guest and unfortunately her room was on the second floor and at 9 p.m. the floor of her room was vibrating from the music on the first floor. She asked the front desk to move her to another room and they informed her they were sold out and had no other rooms. She asked how long was the party going on? The front desk person told her until 10 p.m. When my husband and I walked outside to go to dinner the parking lot absolutely reeked of marijuana as there were at least 3 cars with people sitting in them smoking marijuana and then there was a group of young men standing outside of a pickup truck in the back parking lot smoking pot. We inquired at the front desk about it and she told us that in VA marijuana is legal. We informed her that is legal "to possess" it is illegal to smoke in a public space. She disagreed with us and said she couldn't do anything about it and that the police rode through all the time. We are from VA and are very aware of the laws. We asked her with it being on the hotel private parking lot, why couldn't she do anything. She said she can only stop people from smoking marijuana inside the hotel but apparently that rule has not been followed since the 4th floor smells so bad. The breakfast, usually good was horrible Sunday a.m. The fried eggs were rubbery and the sausage links had a strange taste to them (perhaps they were not pork) I was told there was an ice machine on floors 2, 3 and 4. There was not one on floor 2, the one on floor 3 and floor 4 did not work. We were extremely disappointed in our stay and will NOT be returning. My husband and I are in this area frequently. Read moreOk not a bad location. But their customer service is horrible! The shuttle driver is ether not payed enough or hates her job! And the front desk staff needs training. Nico is who really needs help! I talked to him four times on the phone 4/27/24 from 08:45 to 11:15 all about getting a shuttle. First I called and scheduled it for 10, as he said I could but he told me 11, to Kay easy day 11, he calls my phone and says no it ten not 11 and at the top of the hour. Ok got it great! 10 comes nothing, I call at 10:15, oh the driver just finished breakfast, she was the person who does the breakfast for guests. Ok I understand stand. 10:30, oh she should be there soon, 10:45 she just left, 11:00 she should be there any minute. Finally at 11:30 she picks me up. Just saying it’s a 8 minute driver! If there is a delay, the staff is busy, it’s okay to say no, or to tell your customers not until after 11:30 or 12:00 for pickups. I got there checked in and waited for a room. A woman helped me and even remembered talking to my wife, she was very kind. She scheduled me a drop off to leave the hotel at 05:30. I got to the room and found the toilet had been used and the seat was up. The shower and curtain was moldy. The location was nice because there are a lot of food options with less than a 5 minute walk. I woke up early, and went to check out, I was down stairs at 05:10 and no one was at the counter. I hung out until 05:30 and stood at the counter and a lady came out and checked me out and I asked about the shuttle to the airport, oh I have you, okay easy we are looking up, she said 6 and I tried not to get upset, I told her about asking for a 05:30 and he said it wasn’t schedule. The driver was not happy about driver ether. She drove me to the airport and I asked if she could wait while I get a cart, “I can’t wait long, I need to get back.” Ok understand that, carts were about 40 feet away, when you are moving around the world ya you have a lot of stuff and need one. I behave this location needs management to train its people and pay them appropriately! The hotel is being painted and making the pool area and floors look great, but the staff and the attitude of the place makes me not want to recommend this location to anyone.
