Salon Dayvion — Local services in Normandy Park

If there was a zero star I would use that instead. As a woman with a full time job, family and daily responsibilities, I was able to carve some time out of work to get perm by Melissa Moore at Salon Dayvion for Saturday 1/4/2025. Hours before my scheduled perm, I get a message from Melissa stating the water heater is not working and they are working on it but she needs to reschedule for Thursday. I do not have control over my work schedule and was not able to confirm I would be able to attend on Thursday so I just received a refund. After I returned to work I was able to confirm I could have Thursday off I scheduled a perm again with Melissa Moore because life happens and everybody deserves a second chance right, plus 5 days would have gone by and the water heater issue should be repaired by then. Just mow Wednesday at 5:30pm, I receive a new message from AGAIN Melissa Moore stating that the water heater is not working and she would beed to reschedule for Sunday. I was completely let down by the lack of professionalism and not taking their business seriously. A week passed and the water heater was not fixed. I opted out to cancel my appointment and receive a refund again. And let Melissa know how let down I felt. Mellissa responce to my message was “you are so rude and there is no space for you on my chair do not schedule with me again”. That is completely unprofessional and childish. They have 4.9 stars and maybe I was mot meant to experience their service and rate their performance. Good luck to anyone who is trying to become a new client. Remember not to hold them accountable for their unprofessionalism or you will be called...

Lyssa is full of common sense, which I value a lot. He questions weren't just "What are you looking for?" They were also, "Let me should you the amount of work that goes into this style daily, is this realistically what you're willing to do everyday?" No? Okay, let me suggest something that will fit your look, AND your morning ability to get ready."

DONE! She has won me over. I was looking for a close reliable place that was affordable. I don't mind trying new places because I wear a pixie cut, so on the rare chance it gets messed up, I can grow it out in a month or so. Now I'm stuck at Salon Dayvion, because I can't imagine finding another place that has reliably good cuts, is close by, fast, and in budget. And anyway, since I found a place that meets 4 out of 4 of my requirements, with the added bonus of common sense and real life questions, why would I look...

I had such a wonderful experience here. I arrived a bit early so, due to Covid, I waited in my car till my appointment (I mean I’m not some selfish, mask-less monster). When it was my time, i was welcomed in.

The salon is spacious, so well decorated, classy, well ventilated, welcoming, and clean. I went in for hair advice and a cut and after showing what I wanted, she gave me rational advice and helped me understand what I needed to do to restore my hair that was damaged from another salon. She understood that I wanted low maintenance cut and talked me through everything. She is a master with curly hair and understands the many textures and issues a single person may be dealing with. She’s true entrepreneur.
