Dollar General — Local services in North East Township

I love our Dollar General store in North East but I had an experience there today that I am not happy about. The clerk rang up my items and told me my total. I paid for my purchase with my debit card. Once I entered my pin number and answered 'no' to whether I wanted cash back, a question came up that asked if I wanted to donate $1 to a literacy program. Before I had a chance to press the no button the message disappeared and the total came up the same amount as the clerk told me. However, when I looked at my receipt, it was $1 more than it should have been. The $1 for the literacy donation was tacked on at the end. I give to a lot of charities and causes but I like the option to decline. I don't know anything about the literacy program. I wonder how many other people have had this happen and not caught it. It happened to me twice today but it won't happen again. Other than that, I do like our Dollar General. I get a lot for my money and there is a great variety...

I spent over 500 dollars for stocking stuffers and things I needed for our new home and the young man printed out our receipt and rolled it up. I went out to our truck and opened the receipt to make sure it was all correct and it only printed the 1st couple lines I couldn't read it we asked for a new print out and they would not give it to us. I like to see prices of what I paid for and what if I need to take something back. I'm not too happy about this. I couldn't believe he watched it not print my receipt and still rolled it up and gave it to us like that only to refuse me a new one that was actually printed on....

I live in walking distance. They only have one register open with up to 20 people in line and never open another. My main complaint now is they let people walk around shopping while not wearing a mask or social distancing. You can't even avoid them as they come up behind you so you don't notice. I complained to the manager twice. She just told me that she knew, however there was nothing she could do about it. Nothing was ever done about it, and it only became worse. I am at extremely high risk and absolutely refuse to shop there ever again. I would give them minus stars if at...
