We come back into our hometown every year just to visit the Cherry Festival. I love that my children get to experience something I loved while growing up in North East. The firemen tents are always great and the volunteers are kind even when busy and dealing with rude people. The cut fries at the Fry Tent are a must!!! Add some vinegar and they are simply perfect! There is a great selection of vendors and rides. There are two sections of rides including one for the younger children. This is nice if you have little ones as you can just stay in that area and not have to enter the rest of the park. The ride-a-rama can be expensive for so.w people but it is the best deal as you can ride as many rides as you want. A wristband is good for one nigh of riding so you will need a new one each night. If you purchase them prior to the start of the festival (offered at many local establishments including the chamber of commerce and the grocery store) they are a few dollars cheaper. There is also a Firemen's parade on Saturday. This includes many different fire companies and plenty of firetrucks and school marching bands. The children will collect a bunch of candy from the parade participants! .

Kids had a fun time its a wonderful festival for the firemen to raise money but they could be a little cheaper and not charge that rate on your card. They know everyone is cashless now days. A little cheaper on wristbands too when you have bigger families not evryone only has one child

Lots of fun! The parade lasted over 2 1/2 hours! And the food at ALL of the firemen tents was to die for! My favorite are the curly fries.

Crowded area in a small park. The music isn't good. The entertainment is laughable. "Cow bingo" and the "cherry fest sausage" seems to be the highlights of this festival. They have bingo, which is fun, but the vendors running the games are disgusting. They bully you and insult you in front of your girl/significant other in order to get you to spend $20+ bucks to win a $2 toy. If I say no, it means no. Ignore them. Don't make eye contact. Don't let them think they can get your money. If you visit, be sure not to bring more than you're willing to lose. If you want real family entertainment, go to Waldameer. It will likely be cheaper since the vendors don't actively try...

Crowded. Garbage cans overflowing with food wrappers and drink cups. Crying babies. Screaming children. Elbow-to-elbow crowds! Overpriced, mediocre carnival food and games. Canned cherry pies. And it took us $80 to win one single stuffed shark because like all carnival games, they are rigged! (Yeah, maybe my husband has bad aim too, but still.) No place to sit down and rest or to eat. Bathrooms are port-a-johns that should have a biohazard label on them. Why do people go here again? I know my husband and I went once and never care to go again! But what do I know? People must like it because it happens every single year. Oh yeah; parking. Good...
