I like this AMC theater and see my movies here about 95 percent on the time. I have no complaints about anything except something which is really not the fault of the theater, and that is my occasionally rude fellow patrons. Despite all the friendly reminders up on the screen before the films start, people still insist on using their electronic devices during the movie. Those little lighted screens here and there ruin it for the rest of us because it kills the atmosphere. And even though parents are legally allowed to bring underage children into movies that are highly inappropriate for them, when you do that the kids cry and whine and run up and down the aisles in the theater. That is a real joy killer. Parents, do not bring your little children (under age 8) into PG-13 action/adventure or dramatic movies if they cannot sit still. Even some PG movies should not have little children in them. This especially irks me if it is not even a morning or matinee showing. My husband and I were watching the "Star Wars" movie at AMC 16 recently (the 6:00 pm show) and a family with four LITTLE children attended. Not one was older than 7. They laughed and talked among themselves constantly during the movie. Then they got up and ran up and down the aisles. They ran in and out of the theater doors in the back of the room and let light into the dark theater. It was constant noise and running during at least half of the film, and the clueless parents did NOTHING to stop them or discipline them. That irked me far more than the behavior of the children. In my humble opinion, that evening "Star Wars" movie was not appropriate for children ages about 3 to 7, which is what these kids were. Did I do anything about it? No. That would have meant getting up and going outside to the counter and asking to see the management, which would have meant I missed part of the movie. The theater ought to have usher checks in the individual viewing theaters every once in a while. Did I speak to the parents? No. And neither did any of the other patrons in the room. I think we all figured that parents who would let their children do that would cause trouble if we said anything. They looked like rough adults. So nobody did anything except turn around in their seats and glare at them and say "Shhhh", but that didn't do any good. I hope AMC management figures out a way to deal with this. Fortunately, there were no little children present during the recent showing of "13 Hours"...
Read moreI'm sad to say going to see a movie in a "movie theater" may be a story we tell our grandchildren. The movie theaters have really took a dramatic hit with Covid19 globally. Netflix and other streaming companies already in my opinion had already prior to Covid19 had been experiencing a decline in ticket sales. Who can blame someone wanting to stay in the comfort of one's home with their 80 inch T.V, homemade popcorn 🍿 and the newest A lister Actor's movie available to watch at a press of a button. Then the pandemic came in and almost crushed the little chance of survival. This is a good thing for the consumer who prior to the pandemic may not have been able to afford a PRIVATE THEATER RENTAL. Yes you read right, at AMC this particular company starting at $99.00 will allow you to invite 20 of your friends and family to enjoy a private showing of movies 🎥 and the price only increases to $149.00-$349.00+tax with newer movies. My birthday 🎂 falls 3 days before Halloween 🎃 so my partner, as one of my birthday gifts rented out Hocus Pocus for our family. This was the only time our children, nieces and nephews would be able to play tag during a movie ever! They had a blast watching the Halloween movie and playing among each other and most likely would never expirence that again. We picked an 8:00 p.m showing on the Friday before 👻 Halloween, not crowded at all. We walked in as a group, was expecting maybe a employee or some personnel to maybe great and walk us to the particular room, but the young teenager collecting tickets told us it was in #5 and we all walked in. It started right at 8, like any other normal time you would go see a movie. I was expecting maybe on the featured film time/title of movie to say possibly your name/private showing of hocus-pocus or happy birthday that shows you your entering the right movie, but it was like normal, but hey what do you expect for the price, probably could have inquired beforehand and maybe they could have done that, the reason I even bring this up 3 teenagers snuck in during the movie and acted like they had tickets, they picked the wrong one to sneak into. The overall experience was fun, and would do it again maybe in Feb for my sons...
Read moreAlways fresh popcorn employees are usually pretty friendly the prices are absolutely great $5 all day any day if it wasn't for that we wouldn't be able to go to the movies so much however unfortunately even PG-13 movies are full of bad words it's a shame the only other problem with the theaters nowadays especially this one is they usually only have one employee at the counter and align a 50 or a hundred people so unless you get there an hour early you're going to miss half of your movie waiting in line not only to get in but to order Popcorn and drinks as well the biggest problem and hold up of the lines is this new pick your seat thing the theaters have going on not only is it ridiculous and a waste of time but we've been 30 times to date and have never been able to get the seats we ask for at the window it's a shame because nobody follows it nobody wants it and they continue to do it this adds at least 30 minute wait time to any line due to the fact that people sit there and try and decide which seat they want not knowing that when they get in the theater they're not going to get what they picked anyway and if you tried to get your seats they would have to pull every single person out of the theater and put them in the proper seats because not one person in the theater with the exception of the first maybe 10 people are sitting in the...
