Jardin Gardens — Local services in North Las Vegas

Overall I'd say it was a good experience. The pros are that the property is very nicely maintained and responsive to maintenance requests ( thanks to the excellent maintenance crew). It's a smaller property with one entrance/exit, and it's much safer than Colonial Grand which is across the street. The units themselves are very nice, and Emma in the leasing office is wonderful to work with. The cons are rent itself, unfortunately. I'm sorry, but it should not be costing people upwards of $2000.00/month to RENT an apartment. Also, this should be a non-smoking property. To pay so much to live in an apartment with neighbors constantly smoking weed, having ZERO consideration that they're in a shared residential space and filling others' apartments with noxious, very pervasive fumes is beyond frustrating, especially when it is all the time, and NOT what I am paying for. Having two babies constantly exposed to toxic second hand smoke and the whole household feeling the effects of it, is not something you should be subjected to in your own living space. I highly suggest management make this property non-smoking so that it doesn't become just another dumpy Vegas apartment complex reeking of weed... and then comes the drug use, vandalism, crime/car theft etc. If you're from Vegas, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about. And many of the residents are great people as many are military, so I'd hate to see this great little gem of a property become a dump. All in all, it's a very nice property that is very well maintained and quite safe. Hopefully, management considers their smoking policy, keeping this place family friendly and from falling...

Just moved here a month ago and so far so good minus a tiny issue which I alerted management about already...

The place : I have a 1 bdrm unit, and everything as far as appliances came installed. It's spacious enough for all of my furniture, and the patio is a nice touch as I catch sunrises from the East. There is a separate vanity/sink outside of the bathroom connected to the bedroom that I love so I can keep my personal items separate from the bathroom should I entertain guests.

The neighborhood : Minus all the commotion from the garbage trucks in the early hours(which is to be expected lol), it's very quiet here and it's near places that I frequent most. The grounds are well maintained, and maintenance is quick!!!

The management team : Ok, first off, Eric & German are such sweethearts!!! When I was looking for a place, I called last minute for a tour and Eric said to come right on down... I'm a simple person and don't require much in terms of living criteria. As long as it's clean, well maintained and quiet, had enough space and a great, dependable manager I would be happy. I got just that. Eric is sincere and keeps his word, friendly and he made sure that I was secure in my decision to apply here. He answered all my questions (even when I thought I was annoying him, but he didn't make me feel that way at all). The day I signed my lease(a Saturday), I had the pleasure of working with German. He is also very friendly and answered my questions to the best of his ability. These gentleman are the bees knees, very personable and made me feel comfortable and confident in moving here. Moved in less than 2 months ago and now I’m trying to leave as fast as possible. The parking lot is ridiculously small and very limited parking. The unit is way over priced for the size $1.28/sqft. Plus there’s hidden fees, the $30 service fee TO PAY YOUR RENT, that they never tell you about. For the first two weeks I didn’t know there was reserved parking, none of the staff told me. It’s advertised as brand new but when I moved in my dishwasher didn’t work, there was an outlet cover missing in the bedroom, one bolt holding the toilet seat on, finish nails on the floor in the bathroom and dining area. I have two work orders that I’m waiting on now because of lazy work by who ever build these units. The walls that separate the units are no different than the interior walls. Because of that I can hear my neighbors talking at night, so you can imagine how annoying it is when I get woken up at 3 a.m. because if there music and parties. I’ve notified the staff and even called in a noise complaint. So far they’re still just as inconsiderate as can be. TAKE YOUR MONEY...
