Decided to visit over the weekend from South Carolina. Price structure is decent. Clothing & Media not marked - there is a sign on the wall detailing prices. Miscellaneous items are written on with black marker which is sometimes not removable destroying the item if interested in resale. Very small store. I'm used to looking through multiple racks for clothing. Here the men's section was a mere 2 aisles - took about 5 minutes to look through it. Bins are always busy... the wife found a few items and we separated those items from bins from what I found outside of them. Went to register and the man decided to tell us that 2 of the items my wife found (in the bins) were not supposed to be there, so he had to charge the full price. ??? How did he know they weren't supposed to be there? That's where she found them... and they weren't anything special either. The first 10 minutes we were there one of the cashiers kept screaming loudly how she was going on break. Then after repeatedly saying this she asked the older man if he had heard her... lady, the entire store heard you. Not my favorite goodwill. Probably...
Read moreThe women working weren't even wearing GW vests so there was no way to distinguish them from the couple other customers shopping were very rude. First of all there is no bathroom for the public, the only GW I've ever been in without one. I had my toddler, 9 year old & 14 year old with me who all love to shop the toy section at thrift stores especially at GW. Their toy selection which is super small is in a bin that is over waist high to my husband. The 2 older ones were browsing in there and the 4 year old climbed up & sat in the corner next to his oldest brother. The ladies were very rude, asked if they were our children, then told us he couldn't be in there because it was too dangerous. Mind you he is sitting down & his big brother was right beside him holding on to him. I mean his playhouse at home is taller than the bin so he knows how to be very careful. My husband asked about a regular shopping cart so that he could stand in it to look and they said they didn't have any. If they are going to have toys they should be on floor level so that the kids can look through them. Worst GW I have ever...
Read moreI love this store and I'm so glad we have it in our area! Everything is in such good quality condition and almost every time I come here, I find exactly what I'm looking for!
They have the bins for baby items, girls clothes, boys clothes, women's clothes, women's accessories, men's clothes, toys, and linens/home furnishings.
Everyone who works here is very kind, courteous, and knowledgeable so it's nice to go into a place where you're going to be treated the way you'd like to be treated.
Most of the time their prices are great.. Every now and then there may be a discrepancy or confusion but the majority of the time it can be solved quickly with management assistance!
The only thing they don't have anymore is bags, however you can purchase a very hearty Goodwill bag for $0.99.
I have donated here and I've seen my items on the shelves so I know that they do utilize neighborhood donations which some other stores do not do (not in our area).
The abundance of repeat shoppers, such as myself, is positive reinforcement if you...
