Will NEVER take my business there. I went in with my dog to buy a coffee. As I made my order and the man behind the counter started making it, he looked at me and said, "You don't have a dog in here do you?" I replied, "She's a service dog." He looked at me and shook his head in disgust. I said, "Would you like to see her service tag? She's trained and she's wearing it." Of course he heard it and didn't answer. I repeated the question, he ignored me again and responded rudely, "You want cream or sugar with that?" I replied, "Nope, I'll take my business elsewhere where I won't be treated rudely," and walked out. I don't have to be respected, but as a customer, don't disrespect me. I read the owners reply and he certainly did shake his head in disgust. And when I asked him if he "would like to see her service tag," he ignored me even though I knew I spoke loud enough to hear me. And I certainly wasn't angry, I was disgusted that he'd treat a customer with a service dog as he did. He even admitted he didn't even acknowledge my question when I asked him if he'd like to see her service tag. The fact he'd simply reply with a lie about my review is further disturbing instead of acknowledging and...
Read moreA true gem of a coffee shop! If you're looking for a great place for good coffee and breakfast fare anywhere near Carolina Shores, NC, this is the place!
The owner, Eric, is a one-man band who makes all of the bagels, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, etc. himself. He bakes all of the items on the premises, so everything is fresh. He can deliver some hilarious and mildly sarcastic comments when ordering. Full disclosure: the t-shirt on the wall behind the counter gives fair warning. The demeanor of Eric and the down home decor gives this place a very pleasant charm.
The food was delicious. The bagels are as close to New York style as you can get outside of the Big Apple. They were wonderful!
Give this place a try. You will not be...

Atmosphere was everything you could want in a small, local coffee shop. Friendly service, handwritten boards. The place was definitely a community center place - everyone knew each other by name, everyone happy and excited just to see each other.
Product was just as delightful. My wife had an Almond Milk latte and I had a light roast Breakfast Blend. Everything was fresh, and the owner was very accommodating!
My only request would have been for at least a Vegan great or two, as besides the drinks there wasn't much else for a...
