My family has spent an insane amount of money in this store since we moved to the beach in the mid-90's. They will never get another dime. My wife and I walked in to inquire about dining room tables a couple of months ago. The woman who helped us (I cannot remember her name, but I believe she is one of the owners as she is usually the person that has helped us with other purchases over the years) treated us like we were trash. We specified the brand and style we were looking for, and were told (with a fair bit of disgust in the tone), "We can't get that for months. You should look at something else." We had already looked around the showroom and nothing stood out that fit the style we were looking for. We told her this, but she still spent a few minutes trying to push tables on us that looked nothing like what we were looking for. I then asked, "Are there any other brands that you guys work with that would have something in that style, but you don't have out on the floor currently?" I got no response other than an eye roll and she huffed off to the computer at the counter. She motioned for us to follow. She proceeded to look up the original brand and style we had asked about and said, "Look! See here!? We can't get that in for months! Do you want to wait months?!" I responded, "I understand that, but what I am asking is, are there any other brands that you know of with something similar that you might get in sooner?" Then she said, "Yeah! I can hear!" Then she proceeded to re-explain that the original brand I had asked about earlier was out of stock and wouldn't be available for months and didn't actually answer the question I had just asked. At this point, I was done being talked down to. I just smiled, said "Thanks! We will get back to you if we want to get on that wait list." My wife and I walked out and placed an order with Wayfair for the GORGEOUS dining room table that is now in our house and the sales person we spoke to was kind, accommodating, and happy to help us figure out this big decision for our new house.
EDIT AFTER THE RESPONSE: And now we get a patronizing response that doesn't cover the issue as to why their sales person treated us so terribly. Her attitude had nothing to do with the current stock and everything to do with her apparent inability to treat another human being with common decency and respect. I've never been so utterly shocked at a person's...
Read moreYeah I thought it was a great furniture store as well until now. I bought a zebra print club chair and the main reason was Mary told me how easy it is to keep clean with a damp cloth because of the material. I had this chair for about 3 months and it started turning yellowish brown on the arms, legs and back area. I tried cleaning it with a damp cloth..what a joke..not one spot came off. i bought a 2nd one shortly after the first and have not used it for fear that it discolors as well. I just called the store and spoke to Donna(who I didn't care for the first time I met her and more so now..all about sales!) She started out by telling me to use a solution to clean it and then told me I should have a professional cleaner come out to clean it. So i bought a chair being told how easy it was to clean to now having to have a professional cleaner come out every 3 months. Once again comes down to..we are wonderful when its time for selling but there is nothing we can do. Well you can bet I will never step foot in that place again! the pictures do it justice! its very obvious when you look at the chair! So i pay $725 for a chair that I was told is extremely easy to clean with a damp cloth but now i that i have 2 of them they are telling me to have it professionally cleaned every few months..or i will have to cover it with a blanket for everyday use...and they think the reply on how to clean it is an acceptable answer. Like i said....never go there again...and...
