I would give zero stars if I could. I went to the benefit from the clearance event. I was denied purchasing the items I had. They were marked at clearance price and I scanned with the dollar general app. And yet I was still refused buy for the price on the app. Even after showing Sandy the manager on duty the signs posted that stated an additional 50% off. She refused my purchase. She said I could speak to the manager on Monday. But the clearance event would be over and I am sure the things I wanted will be put up. It's happen at this store before to me. I tried to explain to her i bought the same things at a store down the road, she stated that each store dies their own thing. I have a hard time getting out to shop as I am disabled and this was my opportunity to get much needed dog for and personal care items. No matter what I said mattered. If I could have called corporate today I would have, and I've never called before I just delt with being treated poor. I always try to just smile and thank them even if they treat me poorly. Upon check out, she had to be called to fix a price on one of the items I purchased as it was not ringing the clearance event price I received earlier at the same store. She took her time to resolve a separate issue with the self-checkout (apparently it malfunctioned on another customer) so she had some rude remarks with the cashier about that. Then, when she came to take care of my issue she at first refused to correct the price when it clearly stayed on DG add that there is an EXTRA 50% off the already clearance price. I calmly tried to explain to her that I had already purchased the same item at the correct price before, when she very rudely interrupted me to instruct the cashier to not honor it for anyone else (in front of other customers). The new employee is clearly struggling and stressing herself out because she has NO Help and a line of customers backed up into the aisles. The manager finally appears (on her cell phone scrolling social media or playing games it would appear) and had the Audacity to give her employee an Attitude because she needed assistance!!!
