Pizza Hut — Restaurant in North Topsail Beach

Truly if I could I would give a manager Ann 5 stars for trying to make horrible service & treatment better,I would, but I can't . So they get 1 star as there is nothing any lower! Last week I pre ordered pizzas to arrive at 6:30pm. These were ordered earlier in the afternoon. After 6:30 turned to 6:45pm I called to check on where it was. After much confusion the girl on the phone informed me it would be there in just a few minutes, it was on the way. 20 minutes later still nothing. Except that after more confusion the next girl flat said I had been lied to about the pizzas being on the way. The order was never even made! Furious about a blatant lie I asked for the manager. Ann looked into it and was very apologetic . She wanted to make it right but I was so irritated I just wanted to be done with them. About 10 minutes later a guy called from there & asked again to please allow them to credit the 2 pizza's for whenever I wanted them. They were so nice, Ann too, I decided to try again a week later. Tonight I called, mentioned the 2 pizza credit & the guy on the phone informed me that I owed 12.98 more! I asked why, they were the same pizza's & I had used no discounts. The guy was snide and nasty to me when I tried to explain I had been credited those 2 pizza's if I would try them again. He remained hateful and did not even offer assistance from Ann who was there. After becoming frustrated all over again I eventually told him cancel the order I was done with pizza hut. His response ? FINE!. Then hung up. I am so disgusted by such vile behavior I honestly can say goodbye to Pizza Hut and will never recommend them to anyone I know! Just a word of advice....look a how close the 1 star ratings are close to over taking the higher review! Shape up people, small town words spread quickly! If you wish to eat Pizza Hut- they are much better in person than ordering online or on your app. We just ordered food and they came up to our door claiming our card was declined (which the card was fine). They wanted cash and we didn't have any so they took our food back. I called and waited on hold for 10+ minutes. When I finally spoke to a manager- he told me (very rude and short-spoken by the way) that it was "user error". I have an account with the app and it would automatically place the card info in there (which the card didn't change and I had more than enough money for this order). I asked him why he didn't call and he said they did and no one answered. My phone is on the loudest volume and was right next to me the entire time. I even checked my call history and there was no calls. I asked him if he had the right phone number, he read it aloud and it was the correct phone number but still no one called or even emailed! Finally I told him that I just wanted my food and I would pay using another method he told me that there was nothing he could do. Despite wanting my order still- he would not help me. He didn't want to input my card info nor help me to figure out the problem with the card. So he just hung up. I went and ordered elsewhere (Domino's). They have good service in person - the waitstaff is so nice and really friendly. However, like I said before DO NOT USE THE APP OR ORDER ONLINE, they will not tell you if the payment worked, if there was a problem, or try to contact you in anyway thus wasting your time. One Star is Too Generous Pizza Hut is a Joke

If you're looking for cardboard crust topped with rubbery cheese and the faint memory of tomato sauce, congratulations you've found it. Pizza Hut is a relic of the past, coasting on decades-old branding while shoveling out low-quality slop that barely qualifies as food. It's clear they’ve traded in real ingredients for bottom-of-the-barrel garbage in a desperate attempt to maximize profit.

The cheese? Plastic-like and flavorless. The sauce? Watery and bland. The crust? Somehow both greasy and dry, with the texture of a stale sponge. Every bite screams cost-cutting corner. This isn't a pizza it's a mass-produced, freezer-burned corporate abomination.

They've long abandoned any sense of pride in their product. While smaller, local pizzerias are serving up fresh dough, real mozzarella, and hand-crushed tomatoes, Pizza Hut is churning out processed trash in the name of efficiency and shareholder dividends. It's factory food pretending to be comfort food, and they’re not even good at pretending anymore.

And let’s talk about the vibe or lack thereof. Most locations look like a time capsule from the 90s, complete with sticky floors, flickering lights, and a staff that clearly isn’t paid enough to care. The whole operation feels shady and soulless, like they’re just waiting to shut the lights off for good.

Bottom line: Pizza Hut is an outdated, profit-driven chain that serves up mediocrity in a box. Do yourself a favor support a local shop that actually gives a damn about what you put in your mouth. Low quality food Pizza hut is the reason DiGiorno can claim better than delivery...
